Resistance Falls Onto Sony's PlayStation Network

Unphased by its recent fallout with the Church of England, Sony has announced that it's releasing the first new multiplayer maps for the Resistance: Fall of Man. To sweeten the deal, the global servers for the controversial shooter will go live on Friday.

The map pack will include two new multiplayer territories. Sony's spiel on the maps reads as follows: "Launch silent sniper attacks across the snowy slopes of Westmorland, taking cover in the shadow of Chimeran architecture, or go below ground with all guns blazing to save autumnal Camborn from the plague of inhuman invaders." That's Chimeran architecture, not Anglican.

look out for ya boy. I can't wait to see what it looks like and I hope that they have some other stuff up their sleeve that they haven't mentioned for the update. I remember at one time one of the dev's talking about adding to the first player, that would be nice!

I'm just got this game last week cause I wasn't sure if it was going to be right for me. I'm not a big FPS fan because bad framerates dizzy me so bad I almost puke <.<;; I swear. I finished the demo and was kind of dizzy but decided to buy it to play with a friend online. The framerate its WAY better than the demo to the point I don't get dizzy. I played the online part for a few and was fun as hell so I'm going to finish the online part and get some training before going online again and become most killed LOL.

Its great to hear new maps are coming for it.

I'm so excited for the new maps and stuff but I will be gone all next week so I'll be owned on the new maps for a while because everyone will have experianced it for a week! AND my cable modem decided that it didnt like power from the wall and I'm having trouble getting back online (PSN) with the switch I'm using for this computer right now for online.

Does anyone know what I should do in the mean time while my father is fixing it?

I'm more of the Run n' Gun type. I tried sniping but I just sucked, man. I mean, I can't get a shot on anybody because everybody is running around. I'll get lucky once in awhile when I spot somebody camping. I got to admit though, you snipers are pretty good. I don't know how you do it but you do it well.

exact same for me...I have played the crap out of resistance...it is a great game...but I wanted these maps back in April, when they originally set for...that would have been perfect for the lack of games at the time...But now I am buying R6 V for online, renting The Darkness to beat, still playing the Warhawk beta for another week...and Sigma and Lair are released next month...

Doesn't leave a lot of time for resistance anymore...if a lot of people buy the maps and they seem popular, I might plink the 8 bucks for them...but as of right now, its just a bit of too little too late...

u got to load resistance and go online to access the update unless your ps3 is scandinavian, then u can access it straight from PS store.
