I like it alot, instead of your usual goblins etc in MMO's you play the roll of a secret agent, this is sounding very promising could be a sleeper hit...

6 - I guess when sony doesn't get games such as SC5 conviction, they make up there own titles.

This was just announced and just brewed in sony's little offices just to publish something positive for the ps3.

Can't have it sounding like sony is losing everything, now can we?

But, Hmmmm, this title "the Agency", sounds like sony is trying to copy other succesful title/s, maybe sony is trying to "Crackdown" on other succesful titles from MS. :)

But that's what VG is all about, trying to do it one better than your comps version of a game/genre.

Sounds nothing like it, terribly shallow sandbox game vs MMO, you tell me that they are copying, what a JOKE and grasping for straws.

Tell you what go back to your X3fixme and play Crackdown since it is "SO" much better of an idea than a MMO, jeez.

Sony will have better exclusives inthe long run. They have dozens of PS1 and 2 games that will eventually be coming to ps3. This game has beenin the works for awhile.

This was announced way back around FEB and was suppose to be shown at gamers day but for some reason they didnt, so no its not because of splinter cell, and we all know MMO's take longer to make then a game like splinter cell so there for this game was probably made before conviction was announced.

That's kind of the same outlook for me. Outside of sports or racing, almost every single game I own is for the story, which is why I really was never a fan of online play- it didn't feel like you were playing a story arc. Project Offset may hopefully change this though...

Anyways, the other gripe I've always had with most MMOs in the past was the RPG element tacked on at the end. I've tried Lineage, and I've tried KOTOR, and I just can't STAND RPGs. I hate the idea that any outcome, action, etc. is based on chance and some 20-sided die in the background. If the made one that moved and felt like your standard action/adventure game, I might be interested.

15 - this has potential

to be amazing.. could you imagine guild 1 trying to sabotage a meeting between guild 2 and 3, while guild 4 is hired for protection of the meeting, and guild 5 is trying to sabotage as well, and joins with guild 1 to crash the party, but 1 then backstabs 5 and takes w/e they're dealing... how nasty would that be.

btw, i'm assuming that you can have rival guilds in the factions... who knows

20 - wow this sound pretty interesting

SOE's second fullfledged PS3 title... i hope this one doesn't suck like Untold Legends 3. especially because this one is in the line of what they are pros at. MMO, they make plenty for Windows. also it's worth re-emphasising what pLaystion said above... sometime last year around december SOE Licenced the UE3 engine and we all know that middleware expidites the process of game development. though we know that this title was announced back in feb of this year and that it was supposed to make an appearance at Sony's Gamer Day, this may be the first game that SOE has running on the well known UE3. i think when this game shows it's face at E3 this July we'll know. if they couple UE3 with the PS Edge tools this game will look out of this world. especially because the PS edge simplifies the developmental hurdles that present them self when making games for the ps3. ^^ i cant wait... a MMO based on spies is a great Idea... lets hope what we imagine could be done, is also what they have in mind because i'm certainly looking forward to this title...

and like that poster said a few posts above... No one can pump so many new titles one after the other like Sony... They are the largest game development studio in the world. they weren't lying when they said that they have over 190+ first party Games in dev for the ps3 and over 41 PSN titles coming to the ps3... when i think about Games like White Knight Story, and 8 days, and Ratoullie, pain and all those other agmes that they haven't shown yet it makes you wonder. Sony may have lost some key 3rd party exclusives but when you are a company so big it's really nothing. games like HS and Lair and Drake, and MotorStorm are all first party titles and have already and are looking to impress when they fall.

I'm not saying that sony can survive on it's own with out 3rd party but they certainly are pumping out exclsives thats making it seem that way... thats why i'm not woried too much about Sony's install base. history has shown that they get to a slow start and off to a strong finish. and believe me the ps2 still aint finish yet... it still has about 3 more years before they discontinue making it, and stop supporting it. by 2009 and 2010 the ps3 will be out and showing games that'll blow our minds. between now and 2008 we'll see the precursor to that with HS all the way down to 8-days and FFXIII and white Knight story and what ever else Sony will just spring on us, it's what they are notoriously known for. cant wait
