OFFICIAL: God of War III Will Have Online Cooperative Modes

"With the release of the God of War Collection right around the corner, many God of War fanatics are anxiously waiting to pick up their copy Tuesday. GOTY 2010!! I just played the demo yesterday and ive played it 7 times since. It was the most INCREDIBLE, ACTION PACKED DEMO, ive ever played. Trust me guys, PLAY THE DEMO. The videos are not enough for you guys to understand HOW GOOD this game will be.

Even if u didn't like GOW1 or GOW2, God of War 3 WILL convert you into a fan of the series if ur an action gamer. It's a masterpiece!!!

"Gamesblow" wasn't the only one talking about this over a year ago. Several sites showed ads that Sony Santa Monica was looking for someone to help develop an online mode on the PSN which sparked the initial rumors. Guessing that a game would have online co-op is hardly a feat, though, unless "Gamesblow" has been right every time.

Hercules is the son of Zeus, so he's probably not on friendly terms with the Kratos ;)

If anything, they should implement coop where you play members of Spartan Army under the leadership of Kratos. That would be sweet.

NG Sigma 2's multiplayer made me sigh for just being a series of battles that equated to nothing more than a score with no actual progression other than," Here's some more people to fight!" I'm not really playing GoW for a multiplayer experience, so if it's not what I want, that's cool. It's not what I was looking for to begin with. No points subtracted if I don't like it, but points added if I do.

i hope it sells like mw2 too just as long as the quality of the game is not as low as mw2 but that will not be a problem since it is one of the best looking games now(and still has more time to improve),1080p 30fps, new gameplay mechanics, trophies, one of the most epic game stories ever told and now multiplayer.

@The Killer- I usually play campaigns once or twice too but the GOW3 demo changed me! There is not ONE part of that demo thats boring or repetitive. I 've been playing it over and over again all day! There were many times in GOW1 and GOW2 when I felt that it was a chore sometimes to take down baddies, but in the GOW3 demo, every SECOND is entertaining! Not repetitive at ALL.

Im happy with the graphics as they are now, but if Sony can MATCH Uncharted 2's graphics with GOW3 and maintain the speed of the gameplay it would be a monumental accomplishment!

1.4 - i loved playing GOW1&2

but when i started from the zero point even after my save i saw no point in playing the same things again.

i didnt try GOW3 and i didnt know the demo is out already!

i played shadow of the colossus and even though it was amazing but i never played through it all again, i tried once or few times to fight some bosses but that it.

stories for me is not interesting if i know what will happened, however if there is something that i can do differently like in Resident evil 2/3/4 then i can give it another try.

any way now i am in with GOW3.

Two hours after playing the demo, I went back to Gamestop and paid this game off in FULL. I was blown AWAY! The demo is so FUN and SO Addivtive its insane.

I DOUBT IT WILL! If so they would have said something at E3 or if not Tokyo Game Show. And how would a co-op mode work? IT WOULD RUIN IT! What Kratos and some rebel that have been used by the Gods like Kratos and join forces with him and you fight together? I DON'T THINK SO! I want there to be a MOD where Kratos is frozen and he walks up in current times and goes on a killing rampage in the White House. But if Santa Monica where to do they would be screwed so thats why it would have to be a MOD. But I'm crap and doing stuff like that, I'm even crap at LBP! I want Chains of Olymus and some other prequels but for PS3 this time!

I'd like to see challenges with Nariko at a minimum. Having something like one red Kratos with one blue Kratos in campaign would be a little tacked on. But ODST's co-op was completely tacked on, so maybe no one would mind for the sake of playing with friends. Still Nariko would be hot!

Online co-op. before i get too excited i want to make a few wishes for it.

Co-op in the story mode and co-op in the challenge rooms.

Offline co-op as well. KZ2 didn't have offline because it was impossible to replicate the graphics for split screen but if you kept both players on the same screen in GOW co-op it could work.

Oh and one more thing, a horde mode would be awesome in addition to the challenges.

If i get all that then I will say now GOW3 GOTY 2010
