6 - Can someone please explain to me!
Can Somebody please explain to me how a game gets on the torrent sites to begin with. I mean, is it always an employee of the said company developing the game that steals the game and puts it up or is there other ways that games end up posted. Do the people or persons who steal these games and put them up on the torrent sites make anything from doing so or are they just being an a$$hole causing the company to loose sales? You would think that if a person worked for the company, it would be more profitable for them if the game did well at retail. Am I looking at this wrong or am I missing something?

most of the time its someone from retail that steals it or buys it before release. Then they pirate it.

I can imagine occasionally it would be an employee as well.

I use to get games early when i worked at target, i didn't steal them tho.

this is old had it since yesterday not played it yet tho been to busy with assasins creed 2

Darth Gamer most of the time is someone works at shops that get the game early and just uploads or sometimes is a review copu getting put up but no one tends to like to downloading them for some reason unless they are banned or dont use xbox live

Yeah according to word of the mouth the games, L4D2,Assassins Creed 2 and The God Of War Collection have all been on Shops since early this past week.......so there is no surprise if someone paid someone to get a leaked copy.

plz tell me why this is news, they just banned 1 million consoles and still that the people with now life are bent and determined to make every pirated game news. This has been going on for the past 2 years or so, what happened to all the games that are always stolen for the PC community? I don't see how sony is not going to benefit for all of this cause they have the one system that nobody plays pirated games on and they haven't let the innocents suffer like Microsoft has. They have been a lot of people without (modded systems) that got banned cause they legitimately buy there games early.

yup.
lots of innocent ppl got banned yet i know 5 ppl who still have modded 360s and pirate games and nothing happened to them.
That huge ban is just a bluff, yes some got banned but I doubt 1000000 pirates, a lot of those were innocent ones who got fuked by MS just so they can scare the rest of them which are still out there.

will be interesting to see how this sells considering just about every1 on the 360 is currently playing mw2.

i know they are v different games and both can be enjoyed at the same time, but i imagine most are going to be too busy with mw2 multiplayer. i could be wrong. i know i'll do what i did for l4d and pick it up when it's on offer on steam :p

so it will sell regardless...because people that played the first one loves it.

Gears of War 2 and COD:WAW did not stop L4D1 and I am sure L4D2 will sell, preorders are well ahead of the orginal.
