BioWare Stiil Refuse to Confirm or Deny Mass Effect 2 PS3

GOONL!NE: BioWare has one again refused to either confirm or deny that they are working on a PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2, insisting that they have only announced it thus far for the Xbox 360 and PC.

I think its an extreme disservice to all gamers that Bioware isn't being straightforward about this. If a PS3 version is going to be released in the future with additional content...I want that version. Also, it would be nice to have a choice in general. If it isn't coming to PS3, Bioware shouldn't keep everyones hopes up.

Edit: My guess is that ME2 is a timed exclusive, and EA/Bioware have an agreement with Microsoft to keep the PS3 version under wraps.

Don't care if it comes to PS3 or not, but I do know that I will not be waiting for the PS3 version this time. I've waited for the PS3 version of past games that I was relatively sure were coming to PS3 eventually, and it's usually paid off, but this time, I gotta get the game as soon as I can. This is one of my most-wanted upcoming games, for sure, so I'll get it on whatever platform it first comes out on.

This constant controversy keeps the game in the light and the hype going up! There would probably be half the articles on this game if they didn't have this!

Plenty of reason not to confirm or deny!

But since Demon's Souls, I have a new fascination with action RPGs, so I hope this does show up on PS3... just a little less glitchy version with shorter elevator shafts(or throw some elevator music in to poke fun at it)!

because after watching the new footage from ME2, I'd say this is the ONLY Microsoft exclusive that would ever make me want a 360. Sony just doesn't have anything like it yet. (though it would be sweet if they created a western sci-fi action rpg *dreams of how awesome that would be* )

Didn't they just cut jobs? I think it would be smart to send it to other platforms. Since PS3 gamers seem to like RPGs more than 360 gamers, maybe that will help those sales even more.

I don't know if I could hold out on a ps3 version. I loved Mass Effect 1 so If it takes too long for 2 to go Ps3 I will get it for my xbox. If they release a package with Me1 and 2 and all dlc as a Game of the Decade versions then i'll buy it.

His, "we are not saying anything" remark pretty much confirms it. We have all seen this pattern play out one too many times before. Still, I have the 360 version on pre-order and will be looking forward to playing it in January. If a PS3 version releases later with ME1 and/or additional content, I will look into picking it up then.

Although I'd love to see ME2 on PS3, I heard you can import characters from the first one. Having never owned 360, I never got a chance to play ME1. I also have no idea what the story line is, and where it's going in the sequel.

Bioware produces amazing RPGs, but I don't want to be thrown into a game and not know the story since BioWare games have great story lines.

Ask Valve if LFD2 is coming to the PS3 and they will say "NO". If Mass Effect wasn't coming to the PS3 then Bioware and EA would also say "NO". We all know what the "no comment" stance means.

since it's a great series that should be on every platform. JRPG developers could probably learn something from this game. It will probably be a timed exclusive and me thinks Conviction will be to. I don't see what the point of bringing ME 2 to the ps3 would be when 1 isn't even out. I think the ps3 fans will get a bone thrown their way especially with the economy situation but as long as i play first i don't care who gets a turn after.
