Man I really want to purchase this DLC for it, but sadly I already bought the game, then college expenses are keeping me from buying it. Perhaps I'll get it around the time Borderlands DLC is released and get all three at once.

P.S. Game is awesome :D

I've played it for over 12 hours so far, and am only 9% through the main quest; and I'm no completionist.

Don't worry, I just finished the game last night on my first time through as a Human Noble Rogue. I clocked in at 53 hours and only 40% of the game complete. The kicker? I got the PC achievement for completing 75% of the side quests.

I'm thinking that number is representative of completing all of the racial parts at the beginning of the game as well and not just the whole game with a single character.

I am seriously loving this game. Definitely in my top 3 of the year.

Side note- I am stuck on the Broodmother part. Ugh, I only have one good character that can do ranged.

Yes. The Revenant you have to fight when doing the Redcliff quest forced me to switch the difficulty to easy...

4 - Awesome RPG
This game put the E into epic and unlike some other game (MW2) it actually live up to the hype.

4.1 - No...
Uncharted 2 puts the E in epic. I don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but that game blew me away.

I still want to get my hands on Dragon Age. It seems like the kind of game I could get really into.

MGS4 puts the 'e' in epic...

I would agree with Uncharted 2, not so much MSG4. I would put Dragon Age up there with Uncharted 2 in terms of epicness. The thing about Dragon Age is, just when you think the game is over you'll find out there's more, and just when you finished the more part, there's more more. And there's more, more, more because you can replay the game from a different origin, npcs and quest decisions.

Both Uncharted 2 and Dragon Age are games where by the time you're done with them, you're not left wanting for anything.

I'm sorry, but nothing was really epic about UC2. It just looked good and was fun to play. MGS4 really put a capital 'E' in Epic.

5 - Quick question....
Is this game a solid experience? I'm wanting to buy it yet considering what I have heard from friends I am stuck between yay and nay.....
Open world or linear dungeon crawl? no one has been clear on this yet.I didn't enjoy Baldur's Gate yet am a fan of D&D fantasy,I enjoyed ,rather loved Demon's Souls because of it's direction and mood(some of it borrowed from the best rpgs).
In short,WTF is Dragon Age really???

The levels are big and open but I wouldn't call it open world, at least not in the sense that Oblivion was. You have to go to a map and "travel" to different cities. I love the structure of the game, and the story and characters are awesome.

Don't pass this up. You'll get a great experience playing this game. It's like a combo of dark fantasy and high fantasy in case you were wondering. Sort of like a combo between Lord of the Rings and Neverwinter Nights.

@kraze : A combo between LotR and Neverwinternights? That can't be a bad thing for sure. I would love having it for PC though, because of the editor tools (I guess is only for the PC)

The game itself is great... but the DLC is not worth the value. I went through Shale and Warden's Keep in under an hour, and for the price of these DLC, I expected them to be at least 1/4 of the game's length. Okay. Maybe that's too long. But is 3-4 hours from DLC too much to ask for? Especially when it's $7-15?

And don't give me the "oh the DLC will be 3-4 hours if you stepped back and read the codex stuff."

Give me a break. That's not gaming. That's reading. And that's stuff I could do AFTER finishing the DLC - not while playing it.

Otherwise, that Warden's Keep dlc is just EA nickle and diming. And if you hate the inventory system, you as a player HAVE to get the dlc because it has *drum roll*

A useable storage!

for completing the dlc.

I haven't downloaded this yet, I read that there were extra skills with it, do they only become available when you do the quest, or are they extra skill trees that are added on as soon as the dlc is activated?

any details?, is it a new skill tree for all classes?, if so i may have to get it asap, i'm a sword/shield warrior and i'm struggling to find useful skills to put points into

You have to separate reality from fantasy. You are NOT a warrior - Your CHARACTER that you are playing is. Or are you wearing a plate mail rightnow? =D

well i'm not sure if other classes get a different talent, but with the warden's keep, you get a

*spoiler*

Tainted Blood talent for rogues if I remember.

It's not that great. Increase in Atk Power while having a DoT placed on you when it's active. Believe me. The only thing special/great about the Warden's Keep DLC is the extra stuff you get to learn about ... Warden's Keep, Avernus, that new talent (if you choose to do a certain thing in the DLC), and a working storage since the main game has no storage for the player to use.

Otherwise, if you're the type that always sells the junk (and believe me there's a lot of junk items in the game), then the storage won't really be necessary. The dlc is simply too short for the amount of $$$ they're asking for.

And if you think reading the codex adds to the length. Buddy, all I can say to you is go out to Border's or BarnesNoble and buy a book. It'll cost less than the dlc and have much more text for you to read.

Edit: oops sorry. Specific answer to your question. No tree of that sorts. Just a talent that you can access on the radial menu.

thanks for saving me some money, i was pretty pissed that bioware had incorporated the 'buy dlc' option with the npc in the camp...crossing the line right there.

A mix of dark/high fantasy,sounds good....not exactly open world yet not exactly linear....good enough.Plenty of character development/plot interaction.....also good.Likely give it a go.
+bubs to those who explained it in gamers/rpgers terms, thats what I was looking for.=)
The Oblivion-esque "they all level up as one" idea is rather stale yet forgivable. At least it remains challenging,in theory.

11 - Come the hell on
If a few months from now some DLC had been released I could see it but when they have DLC this quickly they are ripping you the hell off by selling you what should have already been included on the game disc.
