VGChartz: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is an example of how to do a sequel right. Everything fans wanted is included and polished. This is a game that can sustain the millions of purchasers for the next 2 years. Not many titles can boast that. Between the thrilling story and incredible value, this game may be the stand out gem of First Person Shooters this generation. Bottom line: it deserves the hype and accolades.

2 - 8-9's are a fair score for this game
It's a great experience and overall an excellent package. This is gonna be a tough GOTY to call. And though I enjoy both UNCHARTED 2 and MW2, my vote goes to UC2, simply because it had more OMG moments. Which is not to say MW2 doesn't have its fair share. 09 is definitely a good time to be a gamer. Cheers.

Although i enjoyed playing through the campaign the game left me with a hollow feeling of deja vu.

For me there was no mission that topped 'All ghillied up' from cod4.

It was great fun while it lasted (albeit brief), ultimately i found the single player rather derivative and the story was weak.

Sometimes the game is a marvel to behold with great action and visuals, then at other times it looks like a PS2 game in hd.

When combining the whole package, single player, spec ops and online the game i believe is worthy of an 8.5 to 9.1 type of score.

This game is no-where near as bad as some would lead you to believe, nor is it the masterpiece the critics are claiming.
