I just got uc2 I have played about an hour of it. Awesome game, deserves every accolade it has gotten. I don't know why more poeple haven't bought it yet. Its flippin awesome. It is sad that a game like this doesn't sell more than a game like mw2. Not to take anything away from mw2 its great as well, but this is a masterpiece. I just hope that when uc3 comes out that people will flock to it. Naughty dog deserves every penny it makes off of this game.

And yet your the 1st person to mention sales lol. With all the hype this game recieved I'm sure it surpassed 3 million or if not then that's sad gamers didn't pick it up. UC2 makes for the perfect christmas gift so after the holidays NPD will look pretty good for the game.

ALOT of people bought the PS3 to use primarily as a BluRay player. Sure, they may buy a game here or there, but I wouldn't classify them as gamers for the most part. I have turned so many people on to the fact that the PS3 was the best BluRay player, only recently has there been better options, but the PS3 is still up there. These people don't know alot about games... It's up to the hardcore, you guys, to suggest which games are good. A person just asked me why can't she buy Halo on her PS3, She then barked at me about telling her to get a PS3 and not a 360... I calmed her down by telling her that I suggested the PS3 because she was primarily a movie watcher, I told her to go and get Uncharted 2 and that if she wants to play Halo, she can always come over to my house... yeah, she's HOT, and if Halo can get me laid, then I will declare it as the best game EVER... Gettin' Laid FTW!!

...but they ain't getting it. I have been enjoying U2 multiplayer but it seems to be a lost cause. All these sales I have only seen 20k playing on-line once!

In my part of the world (New Zealand) I have yet to play play an "Optimal" game and have only played a "close" game several times. Its disappointing how well reviewed the multiplayer is and yet so few seem to play it.

The fact that the best sellers on both consoles are the same multi plats (COD & GTA)points to the same demographic. Although it's true that sales don't mean quality you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Sales data is still important.

P.S.

I hate when people bring up the argument of wii sports in the sales=quality argument. I don't think many people bought a wii w/out getting wii sports.

Atari 2600. Yes. I have been through many era's of gaming nes, snes, sega masters, genesis yada yada. Before Uncharted2, my #1 All-Time game was Zelda; A Link To The Past. Thats been bumped down to #2.

Man! are you right on about Mario though. Getting my NES and playing Mario Bros was a Magical Moment. Even better was when I got my SNES and pack-in Zelda;ALTTP(for the younger guys- what you refer to as bundles now, we referred to as pack-ins back then LOL), I stayed up for days playing that game. True Story. I'm 33 but I remember being around 9 or 10 years old, I had this dream that I was playing a game that almost looked like it was real. Playing Uncharted and Uncharted2 always reminds of that dream I had 20 some odd years ago.

I just never thought that I would be able to see it come into fruition. Who wouldve thought that I would be running around in an ice cave with some fool named Tenzin who doesnt speak English but we understand eachother just fine. Technology is an amaaaazing thing. So are dreams... apparently ;)

Again. I raise my glass to Naughty Dog.

on the contrary, Uncharted games dont need to hit cod numbers for them to be a success or warrant a sequel. The 1st one has proved this plus not everybody loves 3rd person shooters like they love 1st person shooters. At least we know naughty dog worked extremely hard for every single sale. people didn't buy it in their droves off the name alone. ND had to push hard which is more than can be said of IW with mw2.. Not dismissing mw2 as im having a great time with it its just u2 pushed hard and mw2 just maintained.

PS3 is wanted more than the 360 this holiday season. I can find the link if you want, but it was based on extensive surveys. The sales also show that this happens to be true.

I don't hate the 360 and a few of my best friends have one. I only know one guy who has both, most of us can only afford one console and I'm very happy I went for the ps3 i never lost the faith even when there were only a couple of decent games out. I do hate M$ though. The 360 is clearly a very successful console , not so much 'fail box' as 'frail box', i personally couldn't cope with the stress of wondering if the damn thing is gonna break. As for trolling I bloody love it especially if its funny. PS3 owners/fanboys have had a proper bashing up until recently now the tables have turned and the ps3 is doing very well as i knew it would. and as for uncharted 2 . GET IN THERE insomniac you deserve it keep em coming.
