Not for me. Just too big and I like instant gratification. I dnt get that with this game. Just not for me but I can see alot of hardcore socom fans playing it.

MAG feels like crap when you lose, but its so fun when you win.
(its fun whenever you are platoon leader, squad leader, or OIC even if you lose)

the only con i find about this game is sabotage game mode... no SL abilities, no PL, no OIC, defend/attack A...defend/attack B... defend/attack satellite uplink... BORING!

still upset that the beta is over. i got to level 40 OIC before the patch came in and i was at level 30 on friday night hoping i could upgrade all of my weapons and gear again but i had to go out for the weekend.

i wanted my damn anti-tank mines and to try out some new gear that i haven't tried yet. oh well, just gotta sign up to gamestop for both the mag and BC2 betas.

It'd be great if so but I doubt it. The quality of this game is obviously higher than SOCOM:Con and to run 256players smoothly with all they're doing in the game, I see the extra 20bucks going towards server maintenance XD

Kind makes sense to me in a strange way. $40 for the game +20bucks life time payment to help with the up keep of the servers instead of monthly fees.

I have tried it and I thought it sucked! It was just horrible imo. I'm sure others will have fun with it but it wasn't for me. I'll give it another shot later on today. I like to try a game out at least twice before I make my final decision.

Thats the thing in their other games like SOCOM one person doing well can turn a whole match. Im not that good at it but on my good days its pretty easy to take out a whole team if your in the right places at the right times.

But in SOCOM its a few players each, in MAG though one person going really well isnt really an issue for the other team, loosing 10 or so players in a huge game is nothing. But if everyone wprks toghether then I guess it would be a very different story.

Actually, you do get people following orders a vast majority of the time. Yeah you'll find the CoD/Halo types that don't understand the concept gameplay of team every once in a while but it's not bad at all.

I just glad they implemented a system that make these morons rank up way slower than the rest that do follow orders.

I laugh at these kind of guys that like to go solo rambo and they have 15kills and 7 deaths then when it comes to the close out screen they're at the bottom of the squad while others with 5 kills and 7deaths are above them with XP more points. lol

thankfully MAG has an already pretty cool community. it's not as hardcore as socom, but it's still fun and polite. i can't see much of any cod fanboy getting into this game unless he just likes killing people so i doubt the game would garner attention for those who don't want to use teamwork. everyone who's going to buy mag are pretty much going to be the ones who want to use teamwork.

only thing zipper and sony have to do is have mics bundled with the game and they'll be good to go.

When it comes to the FPS the 360 fanbase are hungry. The only hope they have of quenching their FPS thirst outside of Halo is to look to multiplat FPSs.

The PS3 base is loaded with quality exclusive FPSs experiences and they all have different types of gameplay, feels and environments.

On the 360 if you want an exclusive FPS experience well, all you got is halo and more halo.

On the PS3 you have more choice from Resistance to Killzone to MAG and all offer something different.

Hot anticipated Exclusive FPSs on consoles: 360=1 / PS3=3 now if FPSs are your thing, only a fool would willingly pay money for the console that only has one exclusive FPS; this pretty much sums up the 360 base. It's the supposed shooter console but don't have much exclusive FPS content that draws weight. awww :(

Give it a rest guys... This bot hasn't ever experienced a game with more than 20 players on his shooterbox360 leave alone 256... While we play games like KZ2 with 32 players and jaw dropping graphics, he shoots up Gears on his 360, joins a 5 vs 5 game which lags like crazy (never has a bot experienced Dedicated servers) and gets slaughtered...

MAG won't be the next BIG thing, but it will be a great game for old time Soccomers and ones who really love team work and enjoy spending a long time in a single game.. It's like Warhawk, but on a much larger scale... ONLY ON PLAYSTATION 3.

i just dont understand the comments calling it generic, what other game offers 256 player lag free gaming? the game looks better than codmw2 imo. it makes me laugh that the ones calling it generic are the ones that havent actually played it. its team based making you work as a unit opposed to being out for yourself like others games of this gen, its a truly inovative game that deserves support not crappy comments from some fanbois, its doing something that no other console game has managed to do, it may not even be bettered untill next gen. its a game i am looking foward to a great deal, as a gamer.
