First things first. If you played a previous title in the series you'll feel instantly at home with the controls. God of War 3 might be played on the PS3 Dual Shock 3, but it feels just as it did on the PS2. You've got a heavy attack, weak attack and grab, all modifiable via L1. The shoulder button also doubles as block, with parries activated by well timed blocks - this can then be followed by a special counter attack move.
