Motorstorm Online Pack Coming to Japan

Good news for the few thousand Japanese PS3 owners who purchased Motorstorm in late 2006. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has decided to release an online expansion pack for the game. Set for release on 6/20, the free update will add 12 player online play (domestic rivals only) along with a time attack mode. The download requires 542 megabytes of hard disk space.

If you picked up Motorstorm in your part of the world earlier this year, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Japan got Motorstorm first late last year, but the game shipped without any form of multiplayer play. There was some initial concern that Sony would not upgrade the title to international spec, but those concerns have thankfully been cleared.
