Sony Declines to Comment on Killzone 3

Sony has declined to comment on rumours that Killzone 3 is "deep in development" and will be released next year.

This is in response to Official PlayStation Magazine's "The Secret Games of 2010" article, which claimed readers could "pencil in" Killzone 3 as well as Resistance 3 and a Call of Duty: World at War sequel.

As far as KZ3 is concerned, I feel it won't come out in 2010, but will be announced at next years E3.... It won't take as long to develop KZ3 cause the major delay for KZ2 was due to building a state of the art engine.... Now, just like ND, GG just has to optimize the engine to make graphics better.... Still think Resistance 3 will come out late next year...

I dont think the jump will be as big as what we have seen from Uncharted->uncharted 2. I think KZ2's engine was tweaked more than Naughty Dogs at the time of their first game releases.

That said, the engine is already beautiful. I'd love to see the Helghast make a push on Earth and/or vekta, maybe they have allies among other colonies, ISA's from different systems fighting on different sides of the lines, varied envorinments, snow, jungles, more enemy varieties, improved vehicle sections.

i can just look at killzone 2 i dont think there is going to be a huge leap considering they spent quite a bit of money on the engine but im sure theyll make some nice adjustments. I dont mind if the game looks the same, im satisfied with the graphics til the next gen.

I have no doubt that it is in development, however I think Sony wants to keep mum about it until there is something substantial to show. If they announced it now, then the press would flood in and we all know how good Sony is at keeping secrets.

E3 2010 should give us at least a teaser trailer.

I want a helghan side mission I know alot of killzone fans do. Playing into the perspective as a helghast would be such fun.

And bring on the co op with the helghast invading earth or another earth like planet in the killzone universe with some lusher colors/environments ingame.

There was also an tech interview that discussed if and when they made killzone 3 the next game would receive great technical enhancements with killzone 2s game engine.

This tech was realized/made/created towards the end of the killzone 2 development so it would have to wait till the next installment.

I want an entire campaign from the Helghast perspective!

Here's the plot; The Helghast have mobilised a counter attack on Vetka, they crush all the ISA forces in one fell swoop, all except for a clone army based on Rico's DNA. For the next 25 levels you get to kill Rico's likeness over and over and over again!! I'm telling you now I would never get bored of killing that idiot repeatedly..simply the biggest as*hole in gaming history. I think the final battle should be with Rico himself, you find him cowering in a bunker with his wife and kids, you pick up his infant son and proceed to bludgeon Rico to death with his bloodied baby..the end. I'd place my pre-order right now.

Yes I hated him that much. :-)

killzone is amazing u will never experience ps3 games cause u are a sad loser
i myself have had a xbox and i admit some of the games are good
but after playing uncharted 1 i new that xbox will never top that level of gfx and gaming (never) not even xbox 720
sony have to much power in the gaming industry

Uncharted 2 is one of the best games this gen
it owns any x box game past present future

sony have some of the world best developers and its coming to a stage
developers are limited to xbox and what to show games at uncharted 2 level not dumbed down to stupid xbox standards

in other words developers want to move forward in there games
and with sony developers help and some independent developers like bungie games on ps3 will always be stunning

uncharted 3 and killzone 3 will blow away games even if xbox 720 games was to be out cause xbox only offers halo halo halo gaylo

resistance 3 will be a blast too i think they will work extra hard on that game

btw turn 10 when u play uncharted killzone and the other ps3 exclusive and not dumbed down Mp games

and thats EXCELLENT,
KZ2 is maybe the best shooter ive played this gen,
i guess all i can ask is... to put some green enviroments?,
if they can obviously, KZ2 didnt was supossed to have that because of the planet, but if in this new sequel they bring again Vekta, i hope they put some, green enviroments.. with KZ2 engine? dam, i want to see that.

The cost doesnt matter what Guerilla games did does.

Guerilla games created one of the best FPS to date also with designing sophisticated technologies for advanced revolutionary games for present and future design on the playstation 3.

Guerilla games basically opened up that high octane race car and let her loose on the track paving the way for future games to look ahead of the pack.

The money was well spent and the gamers benefit from the overall production quality.
