Infamous Movie Coming In 2010?

inFAMOUS's ending is one of the best, if not THE best, this generation! The story overall was well done and I got chills at the ending because it was so crazy, yet incredibly satisfying.

There is absolutely no way this is coming out in 2010. You could make a simple movie with no explosions come out next year, but for something of inFamous' caliber, it would be suicidal. In other words, you wouldn't get a Transformers, you would get a disaster that would be called TF2.

I worry about a movie for this game. It was basically set up for a sequel, and because of the awesome ending I assume the movie will be as well. That would mean the movies would continue after each new iteration of the game.

That would make it the first game-before-the-movie series that continued as a series of movies. The movie could even potentially become the lead medium for the story (which I would not like to happen).

Movies about games suck.

Games about movies suck.

This movie has a very slim chance of being good, despite the awesomeness of the game.

Its probably not coming 2010. But i think they might already have a writer. Hope they get arad productions to produce it. That would make for a killer movie. Same production team that is doing Uncharted movie, iron man and much more.

...there's no way to make a quality movie that fast.

Of course, even though I loved inFamous, I also know that movies made from games have essentially always been cursed with suck. I almost don't *want* to hope that inFamous could be different, just because the inevitable disappointment would hurt more.

The inFAMOUS universe definitely has potential for a movie, but it would need to be done to a very high standard so as not to suck.

Would love to see a really well done inFAMOUS movie though.

for the love of god, no more game movies, the box office charts have spoken, game movies= no no. I wouldn't go see a game movie if it was of my favourite game, they are just wrong on sop many levels.

And whoever said the story "sucks" i don't get you...

I'm VERY story based, and yes the NARRATIVE of the game is a little weak (never use voice over narrative, etc) but the STORY itself is quite damn smart!! And EPIC! reminded me of the new Start Trek movie (if u seen movie AND finished game u get me)

I thought the story was definately movie material, just the way it was delivered was a little "videogamey" (mainly dialogue, the game doesn't have a lot of cut scenes) but the STORY is very cool =) so wouldn't be surprised!

MAKE IT GOOD!

I don't get excited for game movies. Whether Uwe Boll has touched them or not most have been subpar. And those that haven't have been passable, not great. There's something fundamentally wrong with the way they approach an adaptation.

Both INFAMOUS and UNCHARTED have brilliant plots built into them (they are, after all, 'interactive stories') to begin with.

I mean, the final cut scene in DRAKE'S FORTUNE, where Nathan dives onto the statue dangling beneath the helicopter, could be filmed shot for shot and look AMAZING in the movie, but you just KNOW they're going to throw out all that stuff and impose their own crapness.

You'd have thought they would have learned their lesson by now.

Sure game movies aren't the greatest works of film out there but that doesn't (always) make them un-enjoyable. I liked Silent Hill, Resi 1&2 and Tomb Raider. They're just a bit of entertainment.

Sony did a great job with Spiderman 1&2, There is a lot of potential there for them to do just as well with InFAMOUS
