Uncharted 2 will overtake Metal Gear Solid 4 to become the best selling PS3 exclusive

Hope so.
MGS4 was Epic, but its time to pass the mantle down to something new.
I mean the ps3 market has grown alot since June 12thm 2008 (<3 mgs4), so lets see some records shatter again

The more PS3 are sold the higher the sales for MGS4. Hopefully by next year, MGS4 would have reached the 6 or 7 million mark. I would love to see it hit the 10 million just like Halo did recently. I am telling you with enough PS3 sold, MGS4 should do way better. And by the time "Metal Gear Solid: Rising" comes out then OMG that multiplatform Metal Gear should kick MGS4's ass easily when it comes to sales but I still hope MGS4 reaches the 8 million units in the upcoming years.

5 - I luvs my Uncharted
but it won't beat MGS4....

Ultimately you'll see GT5 as the best selling exclusive...likely followed by FF Versus (if is remains exclusive)

I think Uncharted 2 will sell about 3 million copies, if not more, but I'm not too sure it'll outsell MGS4.... MGS4 comes from a Legendary franchise that's been around for over a DECADE, but Uncharted is still making a name for itself in the gaming industry.

Uncharted 2 is a much more accessible game on a mainstream basis than MGS4 is, so it could sell MGS4 numbers, but it would need the same level of advertising that MGS4 got... the Uncharted 2's Ad's are great, but from what I remember, MGS4 had an even bigger Ad/Game Launch Campaign, and Sony was Advertising MGS4 in those "Universe of Entertainment" campaigns on TV MONTHS before it even came out then there was the full fledged MGS4 Ad's after that once the game came out, and I remember Ad's for MGS4 running for over a month and a half.

And don't forget, MGS4 got 600K+ in sales from Japan alone... I doubt Uncharted 2 will be selling anything close to that in Japan because we all know how the Japanese respond to games developed by Western Studios, and Western games in general.

Uncharted 2 should sell incredibly well no doubt, but I think the next game to surpass MGS4 in sales will be GT5.

man this is my opinion but mgs4 is boring as hell i love uncharted drakes fortune and am oviously ganna love the new uncharted 2

my opinion but i hate stealth games maybe because i suck ass at them lol

Naughty Dog are HOPING for U2 to sell more than 2.6 which is still far from what MGS4 achieved. MGS4 is doing better than Sons Of Liberty back when SOL was released and guess what? Sons Of Liberty reached 7-8 million units. MGS4 sales are increasing and will do so for next couple of years. The price cut of PS3 is helping and let's not kid ourselves, the fanbase of Metal Gear is way more larger and people were still waiting for a price cut to get a PS3. If Uncharted can sell over 1.3 million units in the first 24 hours like MGS4 did then I might consider the possibility of Uncharted 2 overtaking MGS4 otherwise I don't think it will happen. Sony HYPED Killzone 2 to DEATH for more than 4 years and SONY claimed what Mr.Ernice claimed and FAILED to achieve such goal. Killzone 2 barely sold 2 million. Same goes with LBP. You're telling me that Uncharted 2 was more anticipated than Killzone 2? I don't think so. Nevertheless, I wish Naughty Dog a good launch period and I am getting Uncharted 2 for sure but let's not go far with such claims because things aren't that simple.
