first it was shown for the orginal xbox, than 1 year later it went Multiplat for next gen Consoles (PS3/360), and 1 year later it was PS3 exclusive, and now there are Rumors that Wardevil went Multi Again.

I still believe it still could be exclusive. Two reasons.

1 Everything we heard about multiplat was only speculation and everyones acting like its a foregone conclusion.

2 How many action adventure games on XB are 1080p@60fps? No one even tries to do that on XB.

When it was multi platform no one talked about this game. When this game became exclusive to PS3 it was hyped to godly levels. Now that it's multi platform again it's too hyped and crap? lol

i own a ps3 and i WAS hyped for the game. but now, not really. and it has nothing to do with whether or not it's multiplat.

the game has taken so long to develop. and there have been way too many questions surrounding it's development.
if this article is to be believed......they started development over from scratch last year? why? what little has been shown of the game in the past several years has been amazing. there was no need to start over. they say the game is looking "better than ever"......but the new screens off the wardevil site don't look very good. then, there is the decision to show this game "behind closed doors only" at TGS 2009? why? they should be showing it to the gaming public. there is something odd going on with wardevil.

i'm no longer expecting much from the game (if it's ever released) due to so many strange decisions being made concerning it's development.

edit: disagree all you want.....wardevil looks to be another "too human" - a long development journey to mediocrity.

When I said just like haze I meant that. First it was mulitplatform; pc, xbox 360 and ps3, then it shift towards the ps3. Then the devs started saying it was the halo killer and touted this game will be so good that if you didn't enjoy it they would refund your money back. What happened, they flopped hard.

They're disagreeing I've been keeping up with this game since 2005 when I first read about it on Team Xbox.

Perhaps the disagree-ers can post the media history of this game for me and show why I'm wrong;)

No one talked about it until the devs announced it was PS3 exclusive and started talking about 1080p, 60FPS,Movie experience-mumbo jumbo and that is when Pro Sony media and PS3 fanboys went to town boasting and bashing.

...but the real thing about this story is what everyone is talking about: the rumor.

IGN stated according to their sources it went multiplatform,

HipHopgamer stated according to their sources it didn't go multiplatform, but couldn't confirm 100%.

The gaming industry went along with IGN's sources and are currently saying that the game went multiplatform WITHOUT confirming whether it did or didn't (as far as I read... if anyone had definitive proof and will post it, thanks!)

So for me, it's a battle of gaming sources, and since No one got Digi-Guys to state one way or another (as far as I read) it will be an interesting few weeks until we know for sure.

Yeah, I'm a geek that way, but I'm trying my best to have fun with the news instead of not being one way or another with this rumor.

P.S.;

if the game is 1080p with 60FPS, who actually loses; especially since we actually don't know how long the game originally was in the first place?

If it's great, enjoy it for what it is; maybe the next game they make will be exclusive to one console or the other... depending on how much money they make on which console.

Maybe some more information for you guys..... but....

If you visit the recruitment page on the wardevil website it lists a few categories.

One of the categories is....

Code Team (PS3) but there isn't a code team 360.

Either they have a full team of 360 developers already or they don't have a need for them because it's still exclusive.

Not sure.

*EDIT* well guys, to me it still looks ps3 exclusive.

On all the job listings under the PS3 code team it sais "newly announced game for the PS3" Nothing about newly announced game for ps3 and xbox.

Hmmmm..... I wish everyone could read this far down. Maybe ill give the heads up to someone to post it.

Although I only own a PS3 (so don't attempt to call me an xbox fanboy) on principle he seems to be in the right. The first few comments do seem pretty childish, whereas his gave a reasoned explanation for his dislike of how people were saying it will be overhyped now its going to 360.

He then gets loads of ridiculous stupid comments bringing up forza 3 (which i hear the demo is actually quite good)

it seems impossible to be a 360 owner in this environment, I feel for you buddy.

Well, I think they are referring to the art-style or the overall feel of the game. I don't think it's possible for Wardevil to run at 60 frames per second and have the same graphical fidelity as Killzone 2 because when you double the frames per second, you halve the amount of polygons that can appear on screen each second.

KZ2 & UC2 both of which games can't even sell more than Halo3 ODST (Expansion) and RAGE will look better than both those games in graphics also if you want to see a true Next Gen Game Halo Reach will show case the true power of xbox360 with DX 11 Graphics only capable on xbox360.

Graphics are a big deal, right? So let me ask you this question. Did you think the PS2 was the best console last gen? It was the weakest graphic wise, but did you still enjoy the games? I would hope so.

Same goes for this generation. Both the PS3 and 360 both have great games with great graphics. Just because Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 look the best, doesn't mean that all other games suck because they don't match their graphics.
