Played it this morning (because the servers are only available at certain times of the day), and it is really bland (gfx & gameplay)IMO.

On the flip side, the 2nd beta for Uncharted 2 is UNBELIEVABILITY good (even better than the beta they had earlier this year)!

MAG beta is just ok compared to Uncharted 2.

I think sony should definatly market this more. Actually make this a dlc game given the sheer amount of content you get from just the beta. Those who are in the beta should be offered an unlock key to the full game at a good price. No need for a physical disc.

Make this a psn game like wipeout and warhawk and BF1943. Yes i know wipeout and warhawk are out on disc but give the users the choice of activating their beta versions to be full version instead of deleting the existing data and then go and buy the physical disc.

This could be the game to make digital dist a realization to the naysayers.

you cant background dl this or at least be able to access the xmb. I had a message from a buddy that i had to wait till the 2.6gb dl finished before i could read it.

That is something sony definately needs to address in future updates to the system.

i played as Valor till lvl 5 and then deleted it and played as S.V.E.R till lvl 3 and deleted it and tried Raven... and personally i like it the costume of Raven looks high-tech and likte it SVER's guns (^^). from Valor i like it teh big sun glass hehe

You may be taken aback with the graphics seeing as all PS3 exclusives games online have really high fidelity graphics but once you've settled down a bit, it's all good and like any other online shooter graphically.

A lot of FUN and I like that I don't have to be an uber marks man taking out whole battalions to get XP. I racked up a tonne of XP by simply following orders and focusing on objectives even if I only get 7kills per round.

I love it.

it's a 2.7 gig download roughly, fyi if you plan on using the assault rifle, as soon as you can get the reflex scope for it, it makes it a effective weapon, not a pos gun.

Me too. I played for about an hour last night and I managed to find a good sniper position, but I spent most of my time running back there from the spawn point.

I played it for about half an hour today.. Game doesn't look to be a AAA game. I didn't know what the heck i was doing most of the time. It doesn't seem to run as smoothly as other shooters, hopefully they'll fix that by release. Seemed like a standard shooter with a large map, with lots of objectives. - I'll try again tomorrow I wasn't expecting much, it certainly didn't blow me away in any way.

Go to the Beta forums on playstation.com and look at the Welcome to MAG thread and the New Players thread. There is a list of controls, a list of Objectives and what exactly they do in the flow of the game, and even keys to winning depending on what PMC you join. It would be hard to enjoy Madden if you don't understand the rules of football. Just as it is hard to enjoy MAG if you don't understand the rules of this game. Remember it is a beta...still a work in progress....so you will get some lag, and disconnects...and random bugs...that's why WE are testing. I have to say that they have done a ton of work already to improve textures and lighting...the weapon tuning...extra sound effects...and stability. It's our job to make it as fun as possible for all of those that weren't fortunate enough to get into the beta test...and those who plan to purchase the game at the end of January!!!
