2 - that list is a great list but i would have replaced Army of Two.

especially that title... because ninja Gainden is more anticipated than that game. even though it's a new Ip from EA it's an EA game which most of the time is well utter rubbish... it's nice to see a more accurate list of hotly anticipated list of games from the ps3. lair. MGS4, R&C future, UNCHARTED, HS, KILZONE, wow.. impressive.. add NGS and that list is sealed. and DMC4, dark sector.

11 - Unreal Tournament 2007

An honest question: Can anyone please tell me why Halo 3 is so hyped in comparison to UT'07???

I've never played it, but seeing videos of the newly-released Beta version on TV earlier tonight, I can't help but be reminded of no more than a graphically glorified version of that game from ten years ago, Starsiege Tribes.

On the other hand, the UT footage is just so rich and mind-blowing in comparison; Halo comes across to me as, well...empty.

Honestly, I'd really like someone to clue me in on what I'm missing that gives Halo such relative prestigious status over UT.

I've played UT (PC versions) in the past, and just had a ball...such an amazingly well-rounded package. Eagerly look forward to this year's release as a result.

Could it be that I'd need to play Halo to appreciate all the hype???

Halo is a great series, just go play the first game. It's the biggest Xbox franchise probably.

UT is great too, now that you mention it, I dunno why it's not too talked about.

Both will be great. I think UT is kind of not comparable though, because UT and UC games run at insane paces, different from most FPSes.

Maybe you hit the proverbial nail on the head, because I always got a kick out of UT's insane pace, while I was just never able to get interested in Starsiege: Tribes (which my now-brother-in-law virtually lived, ate, and breathed, at the time.)

If I get the chance, I'll give Halo a try, just out of curiosity.

Don't get me wrong! I love the Unreal games. I just mean that they're pretty different from most FPSes so I wouldn't call a comparison between them and Halo.

Halo has a good storyline and multiplayer, and is just a fun FPS to play on Live. It was a breakthrough for console FPSes.

Unreal Tournament is the champion of brutally hyperspeed PC gaming though. Although I expect all versions, console and PC alike, to be great.

I prefer Halo over the UT series, mainly due to the movement. The speed is like way ultra fast in UT games and almost uncontrollable (unless you have a keyboard and mouse). Halo was built for a console and reacts a lot better on a controller due to this.

I prefer the Soldier of Fortune series (on PC) to Halo though, more violence n junk :-)

And saying that Eye of Judgment will be getting massive coverage and appreciation once more people see it in action. I have played Magic in the past but could not get into it. This game makes me want to play it, and deserves to be on every list involving upcoming PS3 games.

Don't add NGS. Yeah, it's good...but it's not DMC4 good. I'd say it's not really that anticipated. I'm certainly not gonna pick it up. Weak storyline, fighting system needs to be, well...i'll just say it...it WANTS to be DMC, but fails miserably. Dodging's good, but other than that...the bosses have always had techniques to defeating them and the AI (at least in the demo) was terrible. I just don't feel like a BAMF when i'm playing Ninja Gaiden. Playing as DANTE is a freakin' awesome experience.

Oh, and Torch...don't listen to them. Halo really isn't that good. If you've played Tribes, you've played Halo. I suggest sticking with UT04, Quake 3, Half-life 2, F.E.A.R., and Prey...those actually have storylines...and gameplay...

Don't be so desperate for MGS4..

First of all I doubt it will get released this year..

Second.. to tell you the truth I prefer if it comes the second or the third quarter of 2008..

Think about it, there are some gorgeous and impressive games coming very soon and all in 2007, so is better if kojima takes his time to make a giant and perfect game for us..

Meanwhile we will have time to enjoy games like LAIR, Heavenly sword, Uncharted and some multi too like assassins creed, Rainbow six, DMC..

We will have our hands full this year without MGS4 and even Killzone.. Let them delay Killzone too so they can try and meet expectations..

My point is.. chill my PS3 brothers, we are going to be fine :P

25 - MGS4, FFXIII, KZ2 are all 2008 if your lucky.

My guess is many other big titles will slip into 2008 as well. Sony has been treading water since E3 2005. If any of those titles release this year, they will be duds. Either way, the PS3 will be in a severe drought for another 18 months.
