SCRAWL: "The official website for Square Enix's recently announced PlayStation 3 game, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International has gone live early this morning. The very clean-looking site contains details about the games story, as well as screenshots from the PlayStation 3 version such as those from cutscenes and in-game menus."

While I don't doubt that SO4 is coming to PS3 now I do think that it needs some work if it's to do any better on Sony's console. I played the 360 version as an import from the US before it arrived in the UK(on a mates chipped 360)and though it wasn't as poor as many reviews would have you think it still needed a lot doing to get it approaching the quality of the first two games especially.

The English dub is AWFUL, there are numerous technical issues and the gameplay itself leads to a few problems as well-different areas aren't well distinguished and neither are many items on different planets, there can be some numbing sections of levelling up which get very samey(even for the genre!)-so, as I said the game needs something doing to the basics, never mind extras, before it'll be anything like worth the extra years wait!

Had PS3 opnly gamers not been so JRPG starved I'd suggest that porting such an average, for SO games anyway, effort was flawed logic. As a big fan of the franchise I suppose I might be biased and the game might be worse than I say however it's more likely, imo, that I'm more picky because of it! Whatever, it NEEDS some work to justify waiting so long to play it, imo, and I won't be alone in thinking this.

I'll be playing it set to JP VO with eng subs. this will hold me off till FF13, also vesperia if it gets released before FF, if it isn't then no sale, it can't compete with FF for my time.

Previously a timed exclusive, if you look back at advertisements for it, it never mentioned "Only on Xbox" like the exclusives usually do, unless i'm mistaken.
