Without looking at the list. Without order, five of them are:
1. Ocelot vs Old Snake
2. Nariko vs. Bohan
3. Nathan Hale vs. Leviathan
4. Radec boss fight
5. Rex vs. Ray

1.3 - I disagree
I disagree with the Fallout 3 one. When I played, it wasnt even epic. I was standing behing the fountain while the behemoth's AI couldnt find a way around, and the Brotherhood of Steal eventually got his health super-low so I shot him like five times and he flew back 10 feet (a thing like that goes flying with 5.56 mm bullets?). I agree with all the others, especially Metal Gear. That entire game was epic.

I'd stick Radec a bit higher. Beating him on Elite made it all the more epic. I still remember that spontaneous over load of satisfaction I got from beating that boss.

each time i kill radec i can't help but enjoy it ..

But i enjoyed it more WHEN i went for the no dying trophy .
All these flametrowers to avoid and the amount of roquets you had to dodge BEFORE even getting to fight him was great too IMO

Overall good list (i disagree on some entries but it's all my opinion anyway .. )
I did not find the ray battle ( mgs4 ) THAT great ... but i enjoyed the old snake vs liquid ocelot Wayyyy more

1.6 - Crying Wolf is my #1
The snow fight was just epic .

Also with Radec, I think the fact that he blows his own brains out makes it cooler.

1.7 - Pretty good list
I'd wager a few more will make that list once these games are out

Uncharted 2
Ninja Gaidan Sigma 2 (remember, there are a few new bosses)
Demons Souls (EVERY boss fight might be listed. LOL)
Bayonetta (though it was moved to the beginning of next year)

I've experienced all of these except for Portal and the RE5 one, but Old Snake vs. Liquid Oceleot, Metal Gear Rex vs. Ray battle, and Colonel Radec battle are definitely my top 3 favorites...whenever I was given control of the Metal Gear in MGS4, I was like "WTF!!, This can't be real!"

The Nariko vs. Bohan battle was pretty cool, I just wish that I could beat Bohan on Hard Difficulty.

The Leviathan battle in R2 was "o.k.", but it was mostly a lot of eyecandy if anything because it was so easy, but it still looked pretty impressive.

Old Snake Vs. Liquid Ocelot is probably the most memorable boss fight I've experienced. The whole last few hours of MGS4 are truly something special.

From the moment you step onto Shadow Moses Island, the game kicks into overdrive. Being back where it all began just gets you right in the chest.

The last two acts will keep you glued to your controller and wondering just what's gonna happen next. Then when you get that beast Rex in your hands, makes you wonder why you didn't just go through the whole game with this puppy. Then to top it all off, at the end you get to personally administer some payback on Ocelot's face, priceless.

The whole series stands out like that. The bosses and boss battles are always very memorable, and it's the thing I look forward to the most when playing MGS games.

Leviathan boss in Resistance 2 was overrated imo. I was quite disapointed, it wasn't actually that interactive. I really thought it would be Serious Sam like.

10.1 - I ahve to agree with you
I'm surprised they went through all of the effort to make this giant monster that looked so incredible, only to have him be in it for ike 5-10 mins.

11 - Old Snake vs. Liquid Ocelot is THE definition of "pure epic awesomeness"!!!!!
It's probably the most climactic battle in any video game I've ever played. From the CQC moves, to the music and life bar changing through the entire MGS saga......it was all there!!

You know that awesome feeling you get when you finish a game or movie? At the end of that boss battle, I felt that feeling, but about 10 times more epically!!!

I don't recall anything in Fallout 3 that felt like a boss fight. Combat in that game was hardly challenging towards the end when you have a level 20 weapon specialist character.

Out of this list, the one I played most recently was Infamous. That boss fight was pretty damn challenging. I was yelling at the TV, sweat pouring down my face, and my hands were still shaking when I beat it.

Resistance 2 Leviathan? Gimme a break. That entire battle felt so boring to me. The whole thing was scripted and the game basically dictated what you had to do to kill it.

I'm tired of people thinking that just because a boss is really big it makes it more epic and memorable. The Boss from MGS3 was the same exact size as you and that was the most epic boss battle ever.

Same can be said for Navaro in Uncharted, Flying Fox in Heavenly Sword, and every MGS4 battle. Just my two cents.

It seems the author doesn't know a boss fight from average ordinary action. Did you see the video of the supposed "boss fight" from Fallout 3? The player is standing basically in one spot shooting at the mutant...who does not attack, then dies. Wow, that looked really hard. :-)
