God of War III to be released simultaneously worldwide?

Nick @ PS3Center writes:

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine confirms that God of War III will also be releasing in Japan in March 2010. For the first time, Sony will be publishing the title in Japan as well, after Capcom published the previous entries into the franchise. With Japan and North America confirmed for a March 2010 release, it would seem that Sony is indeed aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release of the title.

This would make the games release even more epic if true! Nothing shows that a game has worldwide appeal more than a simultaneous release.

Why wouldn't it be? Seems like the smartest thing to do.

WTF? I didn't know Capcom published the others in Japan... Wonder if they'll get the God of War Collection then?

Yeah wtf, is that true? I honestly had no idea, and how stupid is Sony that they haven't been publishing this game worldwide themselves???

Then again, I guess it's like how Sony isn't publishing Demon's Souls in the US, even though it looks awesome.

Does anyone know how the Japanese responded to the God of War series? It seemed to me like a game that would be "too American" for them.

Are Japan and US suddenly "Worldwide"? Of course, there are no gamers in Europe and Australia...

I'm guessing we here in Europe get it about 2 days to weeks later then the US. Our Australian friends might end up having to wait even longer.

Great buisness move. Now if only Japan can do the same thing with their titles. Seems we have to wait forever for japanese games but our games are ready for the world simultaneously..

10 - Bundle, Bundle, Bundle!!!
Sony needs to Bundle this game with the PS3. Make a God of War III Special Edition PS3 and see how many units they'll move. This game has 'System Seller' Written all over it.
