MAG weapons list - the weapons confirmed so far

Gamer's Guide to Life writes: "When Zipper Interactive first announced their 256-player, online FPS, calling it MAG, many were skeptical. Zipper haven't only proven that they can handle that number of players, but that they can do it in style too."

i was expecting an average game and i was in for a great surprise when i played it...

Controls are so so fluent and smooth, there is no lag.

In my opinion Sony got themselves a home run with this game.. can't wait to buy the full version..

You wont be able to get a kill on auto since they paradrop pretty fast. It take 3-4 accurate shots to kill a person with the semi-auto sniper rifle.

The beta right now only has 64 vs 64 but it's as great and hectic as you can imagine. Explosions and bullets and planes and people all over the place. So far no tanks but there are APCs.

The only thing i dont like in the beta is they're only giving us 15 minutes for each round. Jet bombers are insane!

What's with the huge difference in weapon numbers for the 3 factions?

Are Valor's weapons more all round kind of weapons while SVER have a specific weapon for a specific job (or something :S)?

We need more info from people in the beta. :D

How do the weapons feel? weightless? or KZ2-like?

Is the game Socom-like? COD4-like?

Is MAG twitchy? 60fps?

Some input will be very appreciated. I'm not much into multiplayer only games but MAG scale is really getting me hyped.

If I were in the beta I'd tell you the game feels and runs great. No video lag, or net lag. The sounds are right below Socom on sound accuracy and intensity. The grenades are really iffy atm. I'm going to assume they we will be drastically changed come Jan.

The game feels more COD like than Socom.
KZ2 gun weight was garbage and luckly their is none of that in this game.In fact you can swap from COD to MAG flawlessly and they play virtually the same via control scheme.

The game is solid in this beta build. I can't wait to see the open beta build and the gone gold version.

Zipper did good. But don't go thinking it's a Socom killer. It's a different beast. Both games can live in harmony.

I'll be playing both for sure.

Thanks dude. Good info. I'm very glad game is solid.

However unlike you I do love KZ2 weapons weighty feel, so is a bit of a bummer for me it was totally left out. I really hate the floaty feeling in almost every FPS out there.

I see what Sony/Zipper are doing. They are trying to cater COD4 lovers with MAG. It makes a lot of sense. PS3 owners already have R1&2, Socom:C, KZ2, MGO and now MAG. A very broad selection if you ask me.

Doubt I'll be getting this game though, not a COD4 fan here, but If I feel like playing MW2, I'll get MAG. :D

Actually, it's a really cool blend of SOCOM/CoD/KZ2. You'll see certain things in MAG that you know GG and Zipper collaborated on in the game too.

I have no clue how anyone who likes FPSs wouldn't jump on this game when it launches.

well Resistance is like 32 on each side. I mean in resistance you don't see everybody but you do hear gunfire in the background and see battles in the distance and you may bump into people from a different squad every so often.

I think the netcode is like that PC game WW2ONLINE.

The client only shows a max amount of players on your screen at once, and chooses which one per their priority to you.

I was chasing a guy that constantly blinked in and out giving me reason to believe my previous sentence.

Same stuff that happened in WW2OLINE back in the day.
