5 - Good
Good, if they add in all the stuff they left from Oblivion that was in previous games, it will be thoroughly awesome.

6.1 - They Did
They did, but they said that it wouldn't be at some point. They then said there would be one, eventually.

Heard a while ago in Gameinformer that the rumor was it would be a launch title for the next generation of consoles. I truly hope not.

I just hope it's as awesome as Oblivion without the crappy leveling system. That system is the entire reason I like Morrowind better.

Probably will be next gen, but then again, what are they going to do between now and that? A new IP?

Figured as much. I don't know why everyone jumped the gun last time just because they said they had no "current" plans.

There's so much of Oblivion lore left to experience. The games don't really scratch the service of the written material. For instance I don't think any game has ever had the player set foot on Akavir. That's a whole other continent to explore. The franchise can only grow.

It isn't. Maybe he's referring to D&D or all the text within the game, or maybe there was a novelization of the game? (I know "the infernal city" comes out in november)

There's no way it will be the launch title for next-gen consoles. They aren't expected to release until 2012 or 2013, and I'm positive they've been working on it alongside additional Oblivion content since 2006. They aren't going to wait another 3-4 years; they would lose out on far too much cash. TES6 will probably launch with next-gens, while 5 will come out next year or early 2011.

Also, I really hope it's more like Morrowind than Oblivion. TES4 was too much geared for consolites and in doing so it lost a good deal of what made TES fantastic in the first place. No offense to consolites (well, not too much offense anyways... ;)), but TES is a PC RPG through and through.
