TimeSplitters 4 not ruled out by Crytek

TimeSplitters developer Free Radical (now Crytek UK) has said that the group is prepared to create the next edition of the TimeSplitters series, but no such project is currently underway.

Develop put to Crytek UK that the studio won't be able to shake off speculation that it's working on a new TimeSplitters title, to which the studio MD Karl Hilton replied.

Buy Timesplitters2 for the ps2. It was the best shooter on the consoles last gen. I would love it if they made TS4 but I hope they stay true to the series and not take itself too seriously and continue the classic art style over realism. The game would have awesome potential.

I want Valve to use the Team Fortress 2 graphics engine to make the next Time Splitters game. Not Crytek.

Yeah, I always thought that Timesplitters 2 was criminally underrated. That game was challenging as hell and was even more fun when you played co-op.

The Huanted Mansion level totally reminds me of Nazi Zombies.

The Free Radical team was started by a few members who left Rareware. The original Rareware team was responsible for making alot of great games on the N64. Since they split up, both of their FPS games are good but seem to be missing something. Rare games in general have suffered a bit since the split up.

Was godlike.
And the game was challenging,I never did finish the last league match where you're playing Assault with Leo Krupps in the Robot Factory.

You mean Source Engine?

I'm a huge fan of the Source engine but even I don't agree with that.

I think what he means, is that he wants the TS4 to have that cartoon like look and great presentation that TF2 has. I can't blame him, since I thought the same thing.

Still remember back in the day playing TS with friends, and arguing about picking Robofish hehe

I was just talking to my buddy about it saying how much fun it used to be in TS2 having us go against all the bots...creating your own lvl etc....I hope they keep the quality up and we see a new one

I'm kinda glad Free Radical went under. After playing Haze, it was clear they had no real next gen develepors with any talent. Now that they're with one of thhe best in the biz, TS4 could be amazing graphically and gameplay wise.

My mind is racing

I still remember one interview with freerad which said that one idea was rejected for not being bizarre enough
that idea?
Pirate controlled machines made out of lava that shot ninjas!

There must be piles and piles and piles of concept stuff for TS4
I really hope the good Dr and steve ellis help on TS4
if not then i REALLY hope that, at the very least, they better use all the concept stuff that was left over
