Canadian PSN video store in the works

PSU receives word that Sony is working on correcting the lack of video store available for Canadian PlayStation 3 owners. While it appears SCEE will make an announcement at next week's GamesCom regarding a European PlayStation Video Store, it seems Canadian gamers will have to wait a bit longer.

But they have strict laws regarding movies, making the video store in Canada a slightly harder feat.

The CRTC need to get with the times. It took over a year before the Xbox can have movies here, and I think it was the same way for iTunes(I could be wrong?) and I'm pretty sure there's no Zune service either.

They're really protective of how media is released here in Canada.

yup because we don't want canadian programming to be overshadowed by american shows.

The way i see it is canadian studios need to make better shows like flashpoint, corner gas, or that life w/ derek show (the last two aren't my types of shows but they're pretty popular among they're targetted audiences) and need to market them better.
