You need to quit. Bill Gates has nothing to do with this at all. But he is the CEO of the company that is showing Sony how do next gen games development and consumer acceptance.

The developers took the risk to make this game for for Sony fans out there like you and the other fanatics but not enough of you guys are buying it and GAME dose not want to hurt there reputation for selling the game for more than the 360 version or taking a loss so the publisher can recoup.

The Playstation 3 version of Oblivion is the best looking but when it comes to content the Xbox 360 and the PC version are better.

This game kicks arse on the 3.

Better graphics (slightly) and includes the expansion pack wheres the problem.

But i've noticed that people that dont own the 3 are jealous of the 3. I seen retailers talk people out of buying the 3 sayin its a waste of money but 9.5 out of 10 people have no problems with it once they own it.

15 - Problem here

The problem here is simply that with a library of few games (compared to other systems) the PS3 is straggling. There refusal of this game just gives bad press to the PS3. It shows consumers that the PS3 is doing so terribly that major retail chains are starting to refuse to carry games. HOWEVER we here no pretty much that its only one game.

But with rumors one game becames two, etc etc.

Unless there is a reason why (could be anything really maybe the game is faulty on the PAL version, maybe the recent shivering Isle's bugs that were on the pc , no news yet on the 360 however there is a patch for both, or too expensive to import, doubt that one really.)

This is VERY bad news on the PS3 camp.

Me personally I do not like the ps3 im an Xbot. However even I have reason.

And destroying one console is bad for business on all fronts.

Competition keeps improvements and breakthroughs coming.

Hopefully this gets resolved and soon.

TWHIP...that was probably the worst thought out comment I've read today and that says a lot considering all the fanboys "PoS3 SUCKS!!" and "360 is a brick" commments on this site.

Why would they pull a game, for a DIFFERENT console, off the shelf because its a year old? With that logic they shouldn't even release Ninja Gaiden for the PS3 and any other ports because its old!

Heck they shouldn't sell half the PS2 games because that system is old. Why sell Halo 2 for Windows Vista, that's an old game.

I'm not going to make fun of you because it's not appropriate but that argument makes ZERO sense. If PS3 owners never played it then there may be a large demand to actually "buy" the game. All those PS3's sold in Europe should provide demand for that game. The game even got good reviews so it's not like its a bad game.

Game is not worried about the downloadable content for all the games it sells!

they have personal interest with what`s hot right now(360).
so alot of them diss the ps3 cause they don`t know anything about the industry or they want to jump on what ever ban wagon the consumers are riding at the time.
If a store stopped sellin 360 stuff because they liked the ps3 better they would go out of business cause there is 10 million or so 360 owners(i don`t know if that includes broken ones)and 2.5 million(i think) ps3 owners.

If they want to stay open they MUST ride the ban wagon.
It`s the same w/ most of the video game websites and magazines.
They have to like what`s currently popular or they lose out.

I understand where your coming from. If it was a 360 game i would be probably upset as well. Then again I game fly my games.

However it still stands. Let them do this and do not shop there. By the game somewhere else. SO when they see that Oblivion is a huge hit on the PS3 as well (im not to sure if its a huge hit on the Ps3 here btw please correct me. By huge hit im talking sales I dont care if it looks prettier or not i want numbers)

They will see that they done F'd up and in the future will not make the same mistake.

However keep in mind that we do not know what goes on at the top. They may know something we do not.

We see console sales at the end of the month or when reported. We do not have access to the day by day information they do. Maybe the PS3 in UK isnt as successful as people believe.

However again it breaks down to if you do not like the store for there business practice do not shop there.

If people want Oblivion for the PS3 so bad they will get it somewhere else.

I just googled GAME and could not find an online address for them. i did see a story on how GAME also canceled the PS3 midnight release at their store.
maybe they are just not to keen on ps3 for some dumb reason.

GAME says Oblivion PS3 on its way
Major UK retailer GAME has been hit by distribution problems with the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which released on these shores today.

Staff at the Oxford Street branch of the chain told CVG this afternoon that it had no units in stock, adding that a number of its stores are in the same position. They said that they expect to have copies in next week, possibly Monday.

When contacted about the shortage, an Ubisoft spokesperson told us, "As demand for Oblivion has been so high there may be some supply problems with Game and Gameplay, which is why it's temporarily unavailable. However, it still is available elsewhere. Rest assured, Oblivion on PS3 is definitely out today in online and high street retailers."

it's on their website but have you seen how expensive GAME games are?? they are real rip-off merchants.. just an example of how rip-off they can be i went into a store today and they were charging 35 pounds (70 dollars) for a PRE-OWNED motorstorm. their website is generally cheaper but i asked them if they price-match with their own website and they said they don't - how bad is that?? they don't even price-match with themselves!!!! lol rip-off merchants are we is GAME.
