Holy sh*t, I haven't laughed that hard in a while. When I read people saying Patton up there was probably the writer, I just figured it to be fanatics overreacting (like is common on here). Then I ventured to take a peek at that site. Lo and behold, there it is: author is Jack Patton. LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I mean seriously, that might be the saddest thing I've ever seen. Praising his own review as he tries to pretend he's not the same person. That, coupled with the "my reputation as a credible reviewist" remark, is absolutely priceless. I'm not sure whether to take bubbles from this guy or give them to him just to see what kind of gems we get from him in the future. Sad sad sad. Learn English and take some grammar lessons, then you can actually start on that "reviewist" thing. Maybe you can work up from laughable to credible one day.

On that note, why in the world did something like this get approved? Come on, the game is like 5 months old. We don't need reviews for this game anymore. No "re-reviews" either.

How would FPS games be better on the 360? The 360 and PS3 are just consoles. I play shooters on the 360 and I play shooters on the PS3 and the experience is no different, other than the differences between the games themselves.

I'd rather use my, or even someone elses winky than a 360 controller! Just doesn't get on with my slender fingered leftyness at all-for any kind of game! Sadly MS haven't yet got Natal up and running so my dreams of shooting with my own love missile remain just that, dreams;)

But, seriously, the ONLY reason to prefer the gamplay from console to console is controller preference and suitability.

got BF1942 on the 360 and ps3 so i can play with all my friends. I get 2 times the score/kills on the ps3. here's whats interesting, on the 360, the game has this weird blurry feel to it. like im looking through dirty glass. i cant read the small text very well and see detail in the distance. However, on the ps3 its noticeably sharper. I'm wondering if that's the "free AA" the 360 gives games...

Killzone 2 does have a lot of customisation, second only to Halo 3 on consoles in that aspect. Have recently got back into the game, brilliant online, in fact I have a KZ2 clan match in 25 mins ;) The clan feature online is pure awesome!

Off topic, but does anyone else have an issue with N4G.com whilst using Chrome? It appears as though it loads up each page 5 or 6 times, so in order to go back 1 page I need to backspace 6 times, real annoying.

Yeah I have it but that goes into 3rd person when your in cover, Killzone 2 stays in 1st person the whole time and that has never been done. Plus it's implemented so flawlessly into the gameplay mechanics that sometimes i go back to my older 1st person shooter and long for the cover system, especially in COD

you're talking about jumping into a game being easy with kz2 right.. none of that matchmaking screen, or waiting.. or having a stupid host be a baby and quit... there are a bunch of servers up, and you join one that is already in progress... 10-32 people in the server already fighting and you join in.. not sure what other console fps just lets you jump in like that, if not joining a friend.. oh which killzone 2 lets you also do that.

oh yea.... that brings up a point.. i found it really ironic that your worst criticism of the game was the swearing that rico does.. yet you cant seem to refrain from doing it in your "article"... the sarcasm doesn't ring through.. so it just leaves ya looking... like an amateur.

I own both and I like them about the same with a slight edge to Halo 3. The reason I prefer Halo 3 is the 4-player co-op which adds exponentially to the games replay value and of course the massive amount of online content and a map editor which makes for some awsome user generated content.

Dont get me wrong I loved Killzone 2 and it was the best looking game that ive played to date other than Crysis. But it did have flaws. I got tired of the colorless city streets after a while but the one glaring problem with the game was the cameras location. I was looking into the stomach of other people instead of their faces. I mean how do you screw that up when your making the game??

I think Halo 3 is a lot more enjoyable. The only thing Killzone 2 slaughters is graphics. Halo 3 has more game modes, more options, more maps, more weapons, vehicles and pretty much more of everything compared to Killzone 2.

And honestly... graphics in a shooter that people want to play for multiplayer is pointless. They just want pure gameplay.

Better graphics yes... better clan, gameplay? No.

Halo 3:
-Clan support
-40+ weapons
-26 maps
-12 or so vehicles
-more game modes that are original
-50 ranks for each ranked matchmaking
-4 player Co-Op
-Forge mode with unlimited customization
-Theater mode which has become so popular it's been used around the world for everything.

So what exactly does Killzone 2 have over Halo 3? Graphics? There's not one aspect about Killzone 2 that's better except for it's graphics. Hell, even the enemies are bland.

And before you judged me, I played the HELL out of Killzone 2. I have about 68% of all the trophies, and I'm pretty much done with the multiplayer.

I understand Halo 3 and I am even pretty damn good at it. But that doesn't stop me from thinking that Killzone 2 is a better game. Halo is a little overrated in my opinion and Killzone 2 is a little underrated.

Killzone 2 could look no better than Halo 3 and I would still like it better than Halo 3.

Obvious, in that context, is subjective. Sarah Palin, e.g, (sorry to use politics as an example here) was obviously not remotely qualified to lead a country in any regard but that obviousness was lost on 48 million people who voted for her anyway.

Now here's the thing. I really don't want to down other games in favour of another but this is how it's been done with other FPS concerning halo. It's fanbase are well known for insanely hyping the most average of ANYTHING to do with halo and it drives a lot of gamers batty when all you hear is "halo halo halo" when discussing other games knowing fully well halo is just a normal run-of-the-mill FPS that was fortunate to catch mind blowing hype.

As for the saying that stat tracking and features are better on halo. Well, I'm not going into stat tracking cause stat tracking is stat tracking, there is NOTHING halo is doing with stat tracking that different from a tonne of other games around.

However, when you say stuff like Forge I can't help but go "see?!" cause come on, that's yet another example of taking something rather average and blowing it out of porportion. Look, forge is a very watered down map editor. Why glorify a gimped map editor.

Save and replay is great and I've been saying why the hell all games don't have this feature... since PS1. Yes that's right, this feature has been around since the PS1 and not new at all. Halo3 has it and I applaud Bungie for implementing this cause ALL game should have this feature and I have clue why they don't.

And then there's co-op. halo has co-op and KZ2 doesn't but co-op isn't something that breaks the deal with KZ2 or any other shooter that doesn't have it. Great to have and hopefully KZ2 will have it in the future or on KZ3 but it's not remotely a deal breaker. Hey, R2 has an insane co-op mode with up to 8 players but I'm not going to say R2 is a better FPS than KZ2 cause of that... btw, does halo3 has 8player co-op too?

Let's be straight and fair; there is NOTHING new or innovative that halo3 brought to the table yet it got 10s across the board in graphics, story, gameplay etc. I'm sorry but pound for pound halo3 looks like a last gen toy, online and off, when compared to KZ2 and all I'm saying is - just use the exact same standards you used to rate one game and apply it to all games equally, that's all.
