1.5 - Now all they need to do is switch over back to PSN servers
So it won't take 3 hours to update that damn MGO >=/. I hate their DL servers. Hell, their matchmaking takes 5-10 mins for me. I have NAT Type 1 btw...

I'm surprised it took them so long to realise how much the whole system sucks.
MGO would be much better, and played much more, without them

I wish, then I might actually play it.
The whole having to log into anther site just to play 1 game out of all the hundreds of PS3 games was too much for me. Yea, I'm a lazy gamer, but thus is the life that the PSN has spoiled me to.
Come on Konami, integrate MGO into the PSN so I can play with/against my friends. Some of them really need to be taken down Snake style.

I always thought the Konami ID was a way of letting Kojima do it solely for the PS3, and make some extra money out of it.

And I don't know why. Merging accounts is easy as pie. It could even be done using komami servers without user intervention, based on user log in. (Of course, confirmation is necessary)

16 - At all the above comments
If the ID system is what was holding you back from playing MGO Since June 12th 08.
Geez.
You do it once. It saves the info. Done.
(It's even easier on PC)
It doesn't really matter. Servers are still full everyday just like Warhawk.
needz moar nubz .... i kid, i kid.
EDIT: ... and if you do sign up (again). Just wait til your level 1 character runs up against a LV 17 MGO player. LoL!

For me it was the stupid lag on Konami servers; Unless that is just a game defect, but that seems umlikely considering the maker. Also, I will not put my credit card info on anything else and not being able to buy booster packs ends any long term commitments to an online game.

16.2 - I didn't play MGO by principle
What if every publisher did this? Get an Activision ID for COD, get an EA id for Burnout (you do this but it is transparent to user, how it should be), get a UBISOFT id, get an Atari ID, get an ID id, etc etc.
What makes Konami so special to ask for this?

I never thought MGO's IDs were complicated to begin with. I just don't like the servers that they use.
Also, lol at the admins/mods taking my bubbles (unless it was a fanboy with a bunch of free time; mostly like a xbot). I have a feeling it was the admins that were butthurt over me approving the beastility story about hhg. lol

I mean come on, that honestly looked like it had some real info but it failed because people only love the false garbage from hiphopgarbageshow. I think maybe the link was wrong but they could've fixed that as it seems like that was legit news.

4 - I guess more people may get into MGO now.
That is, if this effects MGO (which i'm assuming it will). If so, then I wonder how the ID's will work on PSN. I mean what if you picked a MGO name that just happens to be the same name as someone's PSN name? Then again I think they will probably still be able to keep the MGO names the same even if they remove the login IDs.
Now all we need is trophies (well we don't "need" them but it would be nice to have so you can show off your skills to other people).

5.1 - think before disagreeing people
those who were fans of PES (LIKE MYSELF) know that it was konami ids and servers that ruined the experience. Online for PES wa garbage...its the reason why many people chose fifa 09 over PES09...it simply failed in the online section thanks to konami's crappy online service.
I hope that its not just the ids but also the servers...as i dont see the point of using theirs.
