It appears there is a new character and series in the making that looks to relieve the mighty Kratos of his duties.

Game looks decent but the fact that there's a psp port says something.
How can this game be as epic as GOW when it can also fit on the psp?

It should be good, though i don't see room for a sequel (They're gonna explore all the levels of hell in the first go).

GOW challengers i think will be better than this:
Castlevania Lord of Shadows- looks like a true rip of GOW but that now a bad thing since GOW=Greek Mythology theme and this one is Vampire/werewolf/magical beast themed
Bayonetta- genre challenger, it looks like a great action advendture title. Since first seeing it my interest in the title has gone up with every new video/preview released. It's not bloody like GOW or Dante's Inferno but it's beyond action packed fighting with huge boss battles and a great visual direction, (in game) it's very stylish.

I always trust Hedeki. Of all games i think only Byonetta can challenge GOW3. It would be great if DI could be as good as GOW3. More quality multi-plats which means more quality games for gamers or PS3 fans in particular.

For the record Dante's is nothing more than a mere mortal who does nothing in the Divine Comedy anyway, Second in his game I don't know yet, but if a 7 (or was it 8?) day fall from Heaven into a pit can't kill Lucifer I'm sure Dante can't either. This game is not going to be anything like the book, but it could have good gameplay, and thats the main reason I play games.

YOU mock up Dante's Inferno as challenging God of War in an attempt to stir up a flame war,so in the years down the line somebody can say "oh yeah it was definitely better/worse than God of War" because in your world there can only ever be one.

that seems to turn me off to Dante's Inferno is that all the videos i've seen have the same look. Obviously it's all done in the rigns of hell, so it may be difficult to change the look. I like that GOW and GOWII had a variety of areas to traverse. Either way, I hope Dante's Inferno comes out good; you can never have too many good games :-)

kratos will fcuk dante up the ass at high speed, this will be a mini game in god of war 3 where the player taps x repeatedly until kratos unloads, then when dante dies due to deep anal penetration, his death will release an abundance of red orbs enabling kratos to upgrade his combat tactics, THERE IS ONLY 1 GOD OF WAR, no game will ever take its place, if developers do create games similar to GOW, they will only get brushed to the side coz its just a copy of the mighty GOW.

9 - I'm a little disappointed

with how the gameplay looks -- I was really hoping they might go the route of a much creepier, ambiance-based game instead of another non-stop hack-'em-up. I've always enjoyed the exploration and puzzle-solving elements of games, and I was really hoping that Dante's Inferno would be a cool, frightening world of more suspense and dread. As a 38 year-old gamer, my reaction time isn't quite what it used to be, so it's easy to get a little frustrated with games like these -- especially when there are so few other games out there NOT like this! When I read Dante's Inferno back in college, for some reason, I wasn't imagining a big, oily guy with a fifteen-foot sword hacking up flying babies. Oh well, it is EA after all... guess I'll just need to wait for the Last Guardian.
