Thanks to Dengeki and 4Gamer.net, we now know of more extras that will be available in the PlayStation 3 port of Tales of Vesperia, which includes new areas, Over Limits abilities, and a link-up with Tales of VS. for the PlayStation Portable.

Not bad wonder if it's worth holding out for the ps3 version.

Here's the trailer for the PS3 version.

It looks like they show over limit 5 too.

It's definitely worth the wait IMO. Buying the 360 version would be like buying NG2 over NGS2.

IIRC, the 360 version didn't include it, so I wouldn't see why it would be in this version. They could do it this time, though.

Because they have room? Because most if not all - don't see how it isn't all - of JRPG fans are anime fans. Most of whom - pretty sure its most this time - prefer English subs to dubs.

@GodMars290: All signs are pointing to this PS3 port being solely for the Japanese fanbase (which love their seyiuu's), as well as stuff like the Tales of the Abyss-themed costumes.

Considering how much of the story is being rewritten to include Patty Fleur, doing a English translation of the script would signal it coming to North America, which hasn't happened yet (remember, Eternal Sonata PS3 was announced at that year's E3) --- it would be a waste of money when they're trying to recoup sales in Japan where it bombed compared to North America (which has a larger 360 install base).

To be honest, I seriously doubt all of the JRPG fans are otakus. I enjoy dubs just as well as subs if they don't have atrocious voice actors. If possible, I'd rather listen to the character instead of reading the text and listening to a language I don't understand --- I could easily get the Japanese version and read a translation if I wanted to do that.

Besides, when it comes to these upgraded versions of Tales games, Namco Bandai doesn't really care about any other areas besides Japan.

Sorry, but frankly your reasons are bull. If they're reworking the game to make up for losses in Japan, why wouldn't they go the extra yard for foreign markets where it sold better? Really doubt Namco Bandai would turn their nose up to more sales. And if not them, then Atlus would publish it like they have other titles in the series, or Demon Soul.

And honestly, name me one *J*RPG fan who's not into anime if not a true otaku. Some who'd want the option even if they don't use it.

This is just like Symphonia on the PS2. People were ticked off when the feature-rich PS2 version of ToS was going to be Japan only. Them leaving Vesperia PS3 in Japan makes me feel even worse because there's practically no reason for them to not localize it.
