Diehard GameFAN: Final Fantasy VII Review

A straight bundle of the original PlayStation title, the PSN release weighs in at 1.4 GBs which can fill up a PSP memory card and take up a bunch of hard drive space on your PS3 quite fast. If you don't have this game on disc, this is definitely one that's worth the price if you're a Final Fantasy fan, or even if you've heard a lot about the title but never played it.

"On a normal run-through this game could take you about 40-50 hours of play. "

Funny, I blazed through it in a lot less than that. FF3 took me Less than that and the game is like 3 times the size of FF7, has a TON of secrets that make scale of FF7 a little embarassing etc etc blah.

Not slating the game, but after FF3 I practically wet my pants at prospect of FF7, then was disappointed when I found that equiping 'rage' materia (think it was rage, made your limit break almost instantly if you took a bit of damage) just made the game a walkthrough rather than a bit of a challenge.

"Balance
This is probably one of the easier Final Fantasy titles out there."

Not wrong there, felt dumbed down in comparison to every other FF that came before it, guess it was coz it was the first FF release worldwide and the idea was to draw in a whole new audience and it worked. The game is now considered to be the best rpg of all time.
