Gran Turismo 5 release date is a fake

PS3-Sense Writes: We loved it to be true, but after doing some research we now know the Gran Turismo 5 release date is a fake. At least five big other PlayStation 3 exclusives are supposed to release the same day according to Play.com. See the full story for all the details.

Well I guess Gran Turismo Portable is better than nothing.

Play.com also listed false release dates regarding MGS4 and Halo 3... Plus I don't think five PS3 games will all be released on the same day.

What a surprise, anyone who takes play.com release dates seriously is just silly. Play.com has been listing Gran Turismo 5 with a release date for quite a while, i checked it out a month or 2 ago.

I don't know what I'm more surprised at, the fact that a website is desperate enough to get hits to list this as news, or that people are gullible enough to believe Sony & Polyphony would not announce a release date to the public, but play.com would know the release date first!

Gran Turismo will be released when it's ready, and it will be absolute awesome, no question about it, and my guess is the announcement will come from sony... not Play

Im sure we will get a release date by then.And didn't
Kazunori Yamauchi laugh at a 2010 release for GT5 im pretty
sure we will see GT5 by December.Also people should consider that
GT5 will have around 1000 cars and over 100 tracks.Which takes time
to implement into the game with such high detail.

A release day for gt5 will be announced at TGS in september. As much as we`d all love for it to be released this year, is just not going to happen. Kazunori is well known for setting release dates well ahead and never actually making it by that date. So don`t be surprised if is coming next year. Take this from a huge GT5 who has been through this time and time again.
I`m not bothered though, as i know it will be the best racing game thus far. Until then forza3 is here to feed me with the racing needs. Oh the joy of being a multi console owner.
