no name players vs sick game play / hits / multiplayer split screen / ... Thing looks better than the last madden as Elvfam511 said. If you actually wanted to play with all the NFL players, you could always just player edit names and outfits ("Creating your team is so much fun considering you have the tools to recreate the NFL appeal and appareal"). Damn EA licensing killing competition.

the same engine used for gta4 XD after this game releases no football game will have better motion. i hate sport games but i WILL ge this just because of the engine.

I still play my nfl 2k2 for dreamcast and nfl 2k5 for ps2. Madden stinks, zero innovation towards reality and style.

It's time for this to come out. I want to try this so bad. Who needs real player names? Madden should have went physics based when it entered this gen. Animation based game play should have stayed in the PS2 era.

did HHG even play the game ? or is this one of his search the net and post opinions based upon others experiences..
I read 2 hands on previews (maybe one was IGN) and they trashed the game and other did the same.
So what is HHG yapping about?

This is what the IGN preview said about the game last August...

"My time with Backbreaker was short and sweet. I continued to run through the Tackle Alley demo to try and produce an identical pair of tackles but my efforts proved futile. Even in the build I played, which was a few months old, the euphoria technology was already doing its job."

I think the EA Licensing goes until 2012 or 13... I think the NFL needs the rethink it deal with EA... NFL 2K was by far the best NFL games.. If you can go to Gamestop and pick up a a copy NFL 2K5.. The gameplay is still better then Madden 09.. If you look at this game and see what can be done, it shows that EA has been slacking off.. I to am a huge NFL Fan and is the only reason I buy Madden.. But if this game had the NFL Brand it would be the winner hands Down
