Upcoming Resistance 2 patch contains Game Launching.

In [Insomniac's] ongoing effort to improve Resistance 2 comes patch 1.60, which will be available for download on May 14 (you'll automatically receive the download prompt the next time you play the game).

UPDATE: While the underlying features needed to launch R2 via Home are part of this patch, there's still some work going on in Home to make it possible. So technically you won't be able to launch R2 via Home till next month. But trust me--it'll be worth it when you can. - EGMBryan

IIRC, Auto-aim only exist's with the Marksman. But yeah it really should go. But I think alot of n00bs are used to it already...they should just create a "hardcore" playlist tbh.

What I hate about auto-aim in Resistance 2 is when I am shooting one enemy, almost killing him and suddenly his teammate arrives and my crosshair points towards this new guy in which case my ammo is almost up for reloading. There goes my one kill and guess what, I am the one to die instead. Happens a lot with the carbine, but now I use a lot of Wraith.

No bigger shame than a chimera elite being killed by a Wraith wielding Rachel Parker in Competitive.

best part of integration RE5 with home is Prize systenm !

in RE there are 4 things like easy, nrmal, hard i professional for each of level you will get a 3d figure for your home apartment if you complete them. Also If you will find all treasures in the game you will get treasure chest to your home apartment.

This is absolutly COOL Stuff !

I hope they fix R2 cu it is a great game.
Since patch 1.60 the game is a mess to play online, befor it was awesome, I could join a new match like 3 seconds after the previous one had ended and they were always full.

Atm I am stucked with 6,000 kills and it is so boring to try to join matches... got to wait some times more then 30 mins and when I finnaly join any it is like a melt down with 5 VS 5 players only.

jesus Crist, I got up to 5k soo fast(like a month or so and I am not hardcore) but now I took extra preaty much 2 months since the patch and I only got extra 900 kills on this time only.

Come on Insomniac , bring back the non stop action !!
I don't think ppl stopped to play this awesome game, but indead the problem is Insoniac and the servers...

I hope I can find time to pick up Resistance 2, hear so much about it even though I said my only FPS would be Killzone 2. I may have to end up returning to renting some games instead of out right buying them as I planned. :/

havent really played since killzone 2 came out (can u blame me) but was really good when i got it epic single player multiplayer has so many options and split screen is so much fun the last time i did play it though took forever to find matches...

I bought KZ2 and R2 on the same month, febury !!

In terms of fun I liked R2 hell more then KZ2 ,that for me, it is quite a bit boring.
high end graphics is not every thing but seems that are thousands of teens that when they see a beautifull game liek KZ2 they sweer to God that it is the best game they have ever played, LOL.

15.1 - hmm say me and you meet up in home...

HOME is sony's virtual world(if you didn't know) Where you walk around in third person view, watch your character interact with other people around the world...

So if I see you, I go up to you and ask if you want to play R2. I can setup the game so all you have to do is look at my character and hit join me. We can wait for more people, or just launch the game with just me and you. HOME will close, R2 will open, and me and you will be in the same gaming party. Then we can find a game.

The key here is that you're a stranger that isn't on my friend list. If you were my friend, I'd just launch the game and send you an invite.

In Home, its an interesting way to do it because you can do it with strangers that you may have spoken a bit too, and don't need to add to your list.

When we are done with the game, or if you exit.. you can choose to go back to HOME or go back to your desktop.

I just want much better Resistance 3.

Insomniac has an IP that has so much potential to at least equal Halo. They are not there yet but they are close.

R3 needs to go modern Warfare(modern era looks, uniforms, settings etc), need a new charismatic lead and fully usable vehicles(just hate not being able to use the vehicles in R1/2 MP).
