MAG and The Agency betas coming 'soon'

Sony is knee deep in massively multiplayer online games right now, with titles like MAG, The Agency, and DC Universe Online all set to be released within a year. It seems like gamers may be getting their hands on at least two of these games a bit earlier than expected though. An anonymous source, who attended the recent Sony event at Seattle, has told us that betas for both MAG and The Agency are due out 'soon' - as in 'E3 soon'.

The Agency was confirmed by Sony (along with DC Universe Online) for a 2010 release earlier this year:

But if the Beta for The Agency starts sometime around E3, it seems like the release date could get moved up and possibly come out this year though.... but I think Sony should save it for 2010 because Sony's Exclusive 2009 game lineup along with 3rd party games for 2009 is already packed.

I must admit I was really impressed by the screens released recently, concidering the sheer scale of the game. I think it has a Source Engine kind of feel (look) to it. Certainly on my list of must haves.

9 - Screens of the game are very impressive

but the only FPS I'm getting this year is MW2. Maybe Bioshock 2, if the reviews say its as good as the first.

Good thing there is a variety of games coming out this year. I cant wait for Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain too.

If it wasn't so pathetic it would be funny.

Look OP, first off, do you know Huxley was supposed to have come out for the 360 ever since Nov. of 2007? Do you also know that the 360 version has also been cancelled too? So how is Sony spreading FUD by showing off their new IP they announced last year?

Secondly, If you've seen Champ online you'll know it can't even compare with Sony's PS3 exclusive of DC online - not even close. So where is this FUD and scare tactic Sony's using really?

As for APB, that's good for you and all but to be honest with you, I've not seen any PS3 sole owner even look at that game with the most remote type of envy but mention The Agency or DC online and see the reaction from the 360 fanbase.

It's kinda sad how MS has you guys looking so desperate though. My condolences

Agency looks like crap. But MAG has some serious potential. The only problem I have is that these are the makers of SOCOM and that franchise is known to be very buggy and glitchy. Hit detection was horrid and the exploits were plentiful. So this is supposed to be a much bigger SOCOM so I expect major bugs. Hopefully I'm wrong.

With some 200 players multiplayer it's a challenge for me to test my shooting skills with this game MAG. Can't see who's shooting from left fright or around you. Definitely a try out trial.
