Ps3 Star Ocean: The Last Hope scan is a fake

While really well made, it's a fake.

The first key off is this week's Famitsu Table of contents. Look closely at the PlayStation 3 section, which has been highlighted. Neither Star Ocean: The Last Hope or Star Ocean 4 is listed. Some other sites are claiming the scan is from Dengeki, but the info box where it says PS3 is from Famitsu. An example of a Dengeki scan for tangible Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is posted below. A scan of Wet, which is coming to the PS3 is posted below for comparison.

well if its really fake someone must have too much time on their hands. damn fanboys

doesnt really matter though, ps3-only owners arent missing out on anything really, the game is some garbage. Dunno, was just way too boring and whack for my liking.

"I disagree the battle system was very fun I don't know what people are looking for but I couldn't stop playing it, the game is addictive."

You said you only liked "complex gameplay" as opposed to what you think all Playstation owners like. This game looks like your typical JRPG, nothing too complex by any standard.

yeh the scan is Fake for now..

um this will be coming out for PS3 end of summer latest...

I would def pick it up.. even though SO3 ruined the damn franchise... but the combat system is actually fun in this game.. I played it at a friends place for awhile... but the dialogue and graphics are mediocre at best

Yeah, that was REALLY weird the way THAT happened.

Same thing is bound to happen again. Fake scan to give hopes up, and then we'll probably hear something official a few months later. Maybe whoever makes these things actually knows something we don't.

Not sure why people don't expect it some time down the road. Tri-Ace never said this was a true 360 exclusive, and I'm not sure why this wasn't a multiplat game to begin with.

didnt this same situation happen to ToV a few months back. Look Microsofts coveted "only on xbox" seal wasn't on ToV, eternal sonata, and big surprise, not on SO4. I only bring this up because being a 360 owner i think we know that microsoft is well known for bragging up thier every achievment. And with the way the console market is going in japan right now SE would be dumb not to make this move.

It was never announced as an exclusive and all the silence from the devs suggest it's probably a timed exclusive. Like ES and ToV, it's probably 12 months and will probably bonus content. Maybe they'll even fix the glitches and up the resolution.

I still love how people claim this game is good because of it's battle system. Does story line not have anything to with an RPG anymore?

I mean its not just random people either, its "Respectable" reviewers as well.

I just recently read this game's review on Game Informer and they gave it a 7 which is not great but above average and said this about the storyline,

"It is riddled with unbearable dialog and awkward plot points"

So again, what's the point of playing an RPG for 40+ hours if the only good thing is battle? I thought RPG's were always story first everything else taking the backseat.

I can honestly say i don't care if this game ever comes out for the PS3 as i have never like this series due to its slow and uninteresting storyline, give me a Dragon Warrior game any day. It is just sad to see that even RPG's are being torn down into nothing more than simplistic button mashers just to appeal to the masses.
