I wouldn't mind getting SO4 on the PS3 , I been a big fan of the series even though SO3 completely ruined it for me the combat is way fun that I can look past the crappy story plot twist that was in SO3.

plus I need a JRPG for my PS3 and Sony is taken forever to announce a release date for WKC

I loved SO3. SO4 is the worst game I have played in a very long time. I completed Tales of Vesperia and Xenosaga out of sheer spite. SO4 was so bad I couldn't bare to play anymore. Bad writing, bad characters, bad (artistic) graphics, bad voice acting. Beyond Painful. PS3 does not want this.

From what I've heard, other than it's 'not exactly great' story, characters, etc. it's got an addicting battle system that's really fun to play.

Whether this is legit or not, that SO4 is coming to PS3 is pretty obvious. Microsoft would never miss the opportunity to stick a 'Only on 360' label on one of their games unless they weren't allowed. As SO4's clearly not coming to Wii and it's not coming to PC as RPGs rarely do well there, the PS3 is the only possibility to consider.

I know the image is a fake but really i want this game.

I don't care if 360 owners think it's mediocre i want Star Ocean 4, Tales of Vespera AND The Last Remnant/Infinite Undiscovery (one of those two is out already but i never see either of them in games stores in the PS3 section.)

I love fantasy jrpgs, i dont care about the actual plots either, just the game play, visual aesthetic, and magic use.

The closet thing i have to any of that is Folklore. Valkeria Chronicles is not my taste, its like whatever FF:Tactics was and i havnt been in to that game genre since the PS1, not to mention (from what i've seen) it's war themed so characters don't really use magic. (though i have been told otherwise, i havnt seen it)

God I hope not I have got to be one of the biggest Ace Combat fans ever. I've played all of them an after playing 6 on a friends 360 it had to be the worse of them all. I'd rather play H.A.W.X, Ace Combat went from delivering the best, to almost no improvement at all. Less planes, one of the smallest increases in graphics they have ever had if they even increased at all an yea about that story by far the worst. All this from one of the franchises that was one of the first if not the first to use satellite mapping.

no doubt this was gonna happen as MS like with every other game PAYS FOR TIMED EXCLUSIVITY! now PS3 is doing so well they cant afford to pay for full exclusivity of every single title and still make a profit... You ppl gotta wise up to the real world the Xbox 360 will NEVER be the superior machine for RPG's. As quite simply it doesn't sell in Japan where JRPG's dominate.. Its basic logic!!!

As much as people are talking about it, Vesperia will likely tank, not do as well as 360 sales, just because its second hand. Additional content or no.

Square and other devs only shot themselves in the foot by putting their JRPGs on a platform the actual fan base wasn't expecting them to be on.

As to the pic, calling it fake. There does seem to be imperfections you'd get from a scan, but usually when something like this spills more of the page is sown. Ones like this just focusing on the subject tend to be fake.

Well, I think it shows that the whole timed exclusive thing, at this stage in the console cycle, is a foolish thing. Fans are getting screwed. You have people who buy the console because they are promised exclusive rights to a game. Then they find out a year later a better edition is hitting the console they DON'T own. So much for exclusive eh?

Exclusive titles are great. Exclusive DLC for multiplatform titles, and this faux "timed exclusive" crap is just hurting fans I feel. I also don't care how well or poorly it does, as long as I get to play it.

I agree, it hurts the fan and the company. The hardcore fan will buy the game when it first comes out but many gamers this generation expect most third party to go multiplatform. As a result, many gamers that would have purchase will wait. The game is announce and release on the other system, but many gamers have already moved on. The hardcore fan will get shut out of new exclusive contents.

If the company had released it for both system at once, they can gain more sales.

Even if SO:TLH comes out on PS3, I won't have the time and money to get it, had it came out 2 months ago on the PS3 also, I probably would have purchased it.

Also I'm Sure Japan would also care sense PS3 install base is bigger than Xbox360 in japan and RPGs practically sell for example the recently released FF7 Bluray movie that contained the FF13 Demo sold 70k along with selling 57k PS3 units. A one hour Demo! Wow!
Hopefully, Us PS3 owners get Star Ocean: The Last Hope on PS3, though i can't tell if the picture is fake, can anyone gives us scans of the full page or something?

A pain I'm really starting to feel having just learned the news that the next Front mission game might be 360 exclusive.

If they, MS and Square, are going to do cr*p like this, announce established franchise as exclusive, they need to say so early in the console's life. Not in the middle or towards the end with the game in question 1-2 if not more years from release besides.

That's the true FU to the fans of the game they're trying to appeal to.

I'm so glad to have read comments about how others thought the SO3 plot twist was a joke. Not often I come into any contact of people who played it let alone finished it to know it was a waste of time once you hit that Matrix BS twist. The plot was so engrossing up to that point then it just plummets. It's the same way in SO4. Story starts of good and slowly snowballs into crap territory and its predictable too.

SO4's battle system is by far the best in the whole series and is a step above Tales Of game series' battle system too.(Which share many things) I suppose for any die hard fans or big PS3 RPG enthusiasts who don't own a 360 this is some good news, but honestly they'll be pretty disappointed once its all said and done.

If PS3 people want an awesome RPG right now import a copy of Demon's Souls English version. I have it and this game fists the competition right now for RPGs. It's a unique game in many ways and my favorite two things are 1) HUUUUUUUUUGE bosses. Massive. Like a Dragon God taking up a whole volcano in size epic scale size. 2) The game has no mercy for the weak. This game is hard so you have to be smart, be quick, and plan ahead.

If the 360 ever saw Demon's Souls then the PS3 folks should be mad, because as it stands this is the best RPG exclusive on PS3 right now.(White Knight Chronicles probably being the next best when we get it)

I love a good JRPG, and don't mind killer difficulty, but I want something that requires me to play smart - not endlessly grind until strong enough to tackle the enemies! :)

Demon's Souls is an amazing game for us hardcore RPG fans. It truly is amazing and the bosses are beyond epic. Considering that SCE helped produce it with FROM Software, I have zero belief that it will show up on the 360. Demon's Souls this gen is the very definition of hardcore and I invite all who love these games to get it. I imported it on the day of it's release and it is the reason I'm loving my PS3 lately.

the plot of SO4 is a joke. the 3D character model is so horrible it became a pain to watch the cutscene. however the battle system is pretty good and i love the sight out system! but the crappy plot combined with crappy 3D model give me no motive to keep playing...

Demon soul on the other hand, is truly a amazing piece for those who want some challenge and like dark fantasy story.

Huh Godmars , symphonia on ps2 was second hand to , yet it totally annihilated the sales of of the GC version .

YOu forget how popular those two franchises are in japan , and how they underperformed on 360 . I still think they'd sell at least twice on ps3 or wii .

Grinding ? how so ! Since most boss require a bit of brains or reflex i dont see much how xping would make it a sure thing . It's one of the way yes , but it's long and tedious .

Everybody hates so3 for that plot twist . me i was like wtf , but it absolutely couldnt kill all the fun and good times i had with the game . Especially when imo the second had such a crappy storyline .

I always felt that SO most , or at least like half of the tri ace games , had poor plots , and showed brilliance in just two things : gameplay and always mindblowing graphics .

Each SO has been that way , except for SO4 , wih i dont get . I dont get how the game lost one of his main quality . It's still good and it's not ugly , but it's definitely not the graphical masterpiece in expected , while it does the job i expected in gameplay .

If you want a game that you have to play smart to beat, the Demon's Souls IS that game! You can level grind all you want, but if you dont learn the enemies attacking tendencies, you will get owned. It really involves you in the combat - its not just a button masher or level grinding game.

Not only was Star Ocean 4 never fully confirmed to be 360 exclusive but Star Ocean never belonged to PlayStation. Square-Enix published all of'em, except Second Story.
