Next Week Maintenance On The PSN

PS3-Sense writes: "The PlayStation Network is sometimes in maintenance and this happens again soon. Unfortunately, the servers of the PlayStation Network will be offline worldwide. Next Saturday is the case, this has aka_Nero, Community Team Moderator of the Benelux, today confirmed on the official PlayStation Forums. The maintenance will last from 11:30 to 18:00* and will therefore, if you would play online one of the following games, you must wanted to play this offline only in that period."

(Note*: Thats about 1:30 AM to 7.00 AM US Time)

Funny, when live goes down for maintenance, PS3 fans from all over join together to whine about how this should never happed. But since it's PSN, I guess it's okay. Right?

Wow. I prefer my PS3 to my 360 so if I can't play on my PS3 then I'll just have to settle with my 360. I'll even admit that I regret the purchase of it. I love it when people know what exactly what I'm thinking and mean to say. You guys just "assume" right? Oh, and if you're going to do the whole fanboy rant. It is kind of odd to schedule maintenance on a weekend i.e. Saturday. You would think they would schedule it during a weekday where people are less likely to play game for any length of time. I'm assuming weekends is the busiest? No?

it's the first time i remember that a maintenance is planned for a saturday , the usually make a maintenant during the week , tuesday , or thursday ...

it doesn't matter really i have enough offline trophies to hunt during that time ..

I wonder if this network maintenance has anything to do with the Resistance2 woes of the last 4 weeks or so? The latest R2 patch messed things up quite a bit, and there is a post on the myresistance site which claims that there are PSN issues which Sony need to address (in addition to fixes to Insomniac's servers).

After that patch when i would play CO OP on R2 it would give me a picture of an Ethernet cable being unplugged. I checked my connections and everything was fine. Stopped happening a week later though. Other than that i didn't have any other problems. What are these problems you speak of?
