The Agency and DC Universe Online Hitting Shelves in 2010

Looks like 2010 just got a little more MMO friendly. As of today, Sony Online Entertainment revealed that both The Agency and DC Universe Online would be entering the MMO scene in 2010.

For superhero and spy fans, 2010 is already looking like a great year for you!

awww....i thought The Agency was coming in 2009

il let this one slide though, only because The Agency is a super-ambitious title and SOE should take all the time they need to make it work properly

yes exactly heyhey, sony should take all the time they need to get it right. they have plenty of aaa titles for 09 anyway.

by 2010 there will be more then 30 million ps3 out there, this will give these online mmo's a better chance for sucess

3 - So all that talk before means crap
Man. This is what i have been saying too many times now. SOE should just shut up with their games if they won't release it anytime soon.

Yeah, it's a shame that The Agency won't make it to release this year, but it is good to hear some news about it, again. Same goes for DCUO, although there's been more recent talk about that.

6 - MMO's on PS3
i've never played a MMO, the online fees are ridiculous IMO
($15 a month to play WorldofWarcraft! no thanks)

but this IS PSN....so will i have to pay to play these MMO games?

Agency seems awesome!!!

Free Realms (elves are not my thing, lol)

DCO, might be cool, i am biased because i like MARVEL better
(so glad to see MARVEL fallout of 'Champions Online' 360/PC only status)

and then there is MAG!!! can MAG be considered an MMO?
it's certainly MASSIVE and it's definitely a online multiplayer....

...but my ultimate question is...will i have to pay to play these MMO's?

Man, Where have you been? Microsoft canceled the Marvel MMO (I'm a huge marvel fan, too). Champions Online will be on the PS3, as well.

No you don't have to pay for MMOs on the PS3 cause they are all free. They are using a different business model to approach console MMOs which mainly boils down to 'you pay as much as you think you want to for that game' meaning, it'll depend on the gamer how worth it the particular MMO is.

Some may not think The Agency is hot so they won't spend $ on it's content. Some may think it's ok enough to spend $20 per year on it's content and some may feel it's hot for them and spend $120 per year. It's all up to the gamer.

11 - The Agency
I knew it, we saw the same demo for 200000000 years, it was either going to fail or it'll be out in 18 months from today.

I say take as much time as you need sony we dont need a subpar game and we know you wont release a subpar game anyways. Besides we have alot of exclusive and multiplat games to keep us busy for 2009 , so take your time and do it right.

I didn't expect DC Universe Online to be coming out this year at all, but I did think that The Agency was gonna come out this year. Considering the lack of info regarding those games, I'm not that surprised really.... I can't even remember the last time I've heard new info on The Agency, and DC Universe Online was just officially announced last year at E3.

The PS3's 2009 lineup is already crowded to begin with. I won't be surprised to hear a few other titles that are currently known being released in 2010, but even if they do, there'll still be plenty of PS3 exclusive games to be had in 2009.

15 - i hoped that DCU would hit this year,
only because i love superheroes, and even though i'm not a fan of the DC Universe (i like a few characters here and there, but i haven't followed the comics in years), i always like creating my own superhero. it's why i enjoyed City of Heroes so much before i realized what a mediocre MMO it was.

i never expected it to actually hit in 2009, after looking at the latest video walkthrough. it looked like it still had a lot of polishing and balancing to do, and the fact that they hadn't shown off any other area besides Metropolis had me wondering.

considering how full SCE's 2009 slate is, it is no surprise that some titles would be held for 2010.

this year is shaping up to be incredible for the PS3 regardless (Killzone 2, inFamous, Uncharted 2, Ratchet and Clank Future 2, White Knight Chronicles, Heavy Rain and lots of PSN titles all in a 12 month span? not including the cool multi-plats? crazy!)
