Not sure why you got disagrees when it was proven. According to GameSpot, they've tweaked the camera, added 2 new playable characters, added huge bosses not seen in the 360 version, new weapon, trophies, better graphics. This is the definitive version.

nasim, there were several games that are 1080p on the 360. I'm not saying the most graphic intensive ones, but there were 1080p games. Also, there are hardly any graphic intensive games on the PS3 that are 1080p.

That's 6 360 games VS 26 PS3 games, AND they're missing quite a lot for the PS3, including MLB 09: The Show, which ALSO runs at 60 fps while doing 1080p. WipEout HD, and most PSN games do 1080p natively.

I've always liked tecmo and unlike many I Loved DOA Hardcore on the PS2 (the counter system and tag battle)

I never played the other sigma even though i liked the demo but i WILL NOT be passing this one up.

As far as the PS3, when I meant "intensive" I was referring to the BIG games (ie: KZ2, MGS4). You mostly mentioned PSN games and sports games.

Talk about misinformation. A 1080p resolution is just that, a resolution of 1920x1080 progressive. An Xbox 360 can do 1080p native just fine. It just depends on how much you have going on the screen.

Even the almighty PS3 can't handle 1080p in games as evident by the few games that support it natively. Heck, most games on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are sub HD (read less than 720p native). It is not to say that we won't get a mind blowing 1080p game that is the next KillZone 2, but all evidence points to the contrary.

edit: I was going to post how awesome NGS2 looks, but always seemed to get sucked into these little silly fanboys spreading misinformation.

And IdleLeeSiuLung, you might want to tweak your statements. There is a vast difference between beating a console up to squeeze a few last horsepower versus learning about the latent capabilities of a console with a different programming architecture. What I am getting is the statement "at this moment" might apply in some areas.

No he is not an xbox hater. Upscaled is NOT the same as native. Take your SD TV for example. Blowing up your TV's image to 1080p does not make it the same quality as Bluray. Native is native. Upscale is upscale. Ninja Gaiden II runs natively at 585p. It's well documented on Beyond3D forums. The game's graphics are "blown" up to 1080p by your 360's video upscaler. This is where MS has blatantly lied to you the consumer that "all" their games are 1080p. They aren't. Excluding 6 titles, they are all upscaled.

It doesn't take anyone to play ANY game to figure that one out. Just google it.

The first announced NATIVE 1080p game for the 360 was --> [native 1080p] NBA Street Homecourt - released on February 20, 2007... followed a month later by Sega's [native 1080p] Virtual Tennis 3 game.

do you guys think its time we stop beating on 360 fans? After all it only makes them more bitter about the direction their console is headed in and keeps the flaming going. That being said, I don't care one bit about the 360 version of any Ninja Gaiden as I had it and it indeed did have major frame-drops in the middle of intense action. After playing Sigma this was just unacceptable, even the developers know which platform lets their franchise shine in its true glory. I actually started playing it again this weekend and this is as REALLY FUN game.
Fluid animations, hair trigger controls, challenging enemies and frustratiing to beat bosses even had my kid grabbing my copy away from me and playing it on his PS3. Can't wait for the sequel.

Now it appears NGS2 will run smoother and at a higher native res than NG2 which is nice, but stop talking out of your buttholes. It is clear that my original post is completely true. There aren't too many games that support 1080p and none of them are considered better looking than most of the 720p (or lower) games. Yet, I get 5 times as many disagrees as agrees. Goes to show you the bias on this site.

My statement still holds, there is not a single game that runs at 1080p natively that looks incredible. The only game that even barely touches 1080p with great effects is Ninja Gaiden Sigma, a previous generation remake that isn't exactly earth shattering graphics. Bottom line is, 1080p native on any console today is just a big fat lie made my marketing people and fanboys. It is not even close to in reach.

Yes there is a big difference between Upscalled and True native,
Yes true 1080p is only possible for a large world game like GT5 because of the way the Fast XDR and GDDR RAM is dedicated on the PS3 and allocated(FLEX IO) across for SPU and GPU use ,their is a bottle neck however with Limited RAM,but givein the architecture of the PS3 (it doesn't suffer from limited EDram like on 360 or lack of HD on Wii) therefore compromises can be made to achieve a level of visual clarity yet not seen on any console so far.

Although Not 100 percent TRUE 1080p(1280x1080)
GT5 stand as the only open world game that runs at such an astonishing resolution at 60FPS with so many cars and photo realistic Graphics.
It is used as tech display for Sony's upcoming 3d technology and other HD tech demo's..
Yet :
1280x1080 is an excellent resolution, about 1.4 million pixels, which is great.
Do the math at 60 FPS!!!!
How many Pixels a second is that!!!

If Tecmo had the resources it could very well do a GOD3 level of game and push it to close to 1080p at 30fps but the level of optimization and coding and serious knowledge sharing would have to be justified..
The cost to make a 1080p game is more than you think...

Sadly on Consoles with limited RAM this lies in the hand of developers unlike PC's (which lots of RAM) Consoles are a Coders ultimate challenge in engineering software..

While people complained that we didnt have that game and they played it the people with ps3's only had other exclusives they could play, but now they getting that game and its even better. So its safe to say, PS3 owners only get the best, lag free and complete games on their console. They release the crappy version on the 360 and they fix all the bugs for the PS3. That has 2 be love.

without question, they did a good job on the first Sigma and now this one is supposed to have online co-op and with 2 new characters, I know the bots are jealous now....you know...paying 50 bucks a year to NOT have online co-op on one of their biggest exclusives last year that turned out to be a flop anyway.
