I use mine for PS3 Video Chat and placing stickers in LBP and it works great for both. No complaints here.

I also use mine for LBP and video chatting and its also a mic. I think its great and love the way mine sits on top of my 50" Plasma.

I didn't buy one since the Xbox Live Vision cam oddly enough worksd with the PS3 ... 0_0 I only use the cam for Burnout Paradise. I think these camera games that Sony and Microsoft put out are a bit lame.

I do wish for a game utilizing the Playstation Eye. It does kinda feel like it's just sitting there considering I don't play Burnout and haven't really had enough time to make levels in LBP. I did buy mesmerize which was fun for 2 minutes (was only 2 bucks or something)

I have used video chat with my friends though, that stuff works great.

3 - I bought mine together with
The Eye of Judgment bundle. Bought Trial of Topoq, Operation: Creature Feature, The Aquarium (forgot the name) and the one with the bird (also forgot the name)to make the most use of the eye. My daughter's been asking me when Eye Pet will be out too. All around nice peripheral and fun to use specially with eye create.

I use mine when Video Chatting and it works great. The resolution is far better than any webcam I've seen anywhere else. The mic can pick noise even outside my closed room.

You haven't seen a Carl Zeiss Logitech webcam if thats the case.

But yes the Eye is pretty good for it's price. I just wish there was more software support for it.

Nope, I haven't! Knowing it's from Logitech, I'm not surprised either. But what is surprising is that it's Carl Zeiss lens...one of the best known makers of camera lenses.

5 - We mentioned before the eye toy is a POS
but I think the difference in opinion vomes from when you bought it. The early PS3 eye was really good quality. Then they downgraded the hardware to the crap that is in it now.

6 - It's is very useful for a mic cause useing the headset for 3 hours can sore your ears.
I heard that one day the pseye will be use as interface like Minority Report by tracking the gloves. It can track motion right now, maybe Sony need more time. PS3 only like 2 years old. They say marathon so they seem quite relaxing with that price cut.

The PSEye has a really good mic on it. A friend of mine said the PSEye mic sounded better than when I used the SOCOM headset, the only reason I don't like using the PSEye mic though is because it's hard to hear the person talking back through the TV speakers with all the action going on

I hate when people use PSeye for their mic. It picks up every little noise. I wish Sony would pack in the official blue tooth headset with PS3's.

yeah , the mic in eye of jugement is sensible but by placing it in the right place and tweaking it's sensibility it's not a bad thing really
