Game Chronicles Review: MotorStorm Pacific Rift

GC writes: "Every system and generation of system has its signature racing title and for the PS3 that game is Gran Turismo, but anyone who isn't looking for ultra-realism is probably going to be more inclined to check out Sony's other signature racing franchise, MotorStorm. It hasn't even been a year and Sony is delivering the next installment in the extreme racing series. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift is bigger, better, and far more polished than its predecessor, but it ultimately fails to live up to the media hype and gamer expectations."

This is one game that has been on my mind for months. The problem however is that it has been overshadowed by games such as Resistance 2, LBP and Killzone 2.
I'll definitely get it once it drops down in price.

I think Sony should have considered releasing this as a download on PSN.

I don't think alot of people realize how good it is.

4 - I remember the FUD spread against this game when it launched
A lot of people were saying PURE was better, and that Motorstorm: PR didn't do enough to separate itself from the previous game. I think a lot of that negativity might have hurt sales a bit. Seriously though, it's one of the best current-gen racing games I've ever played. It's so fun, especially using the photo mode to pause your crash just at the right moment and capture it forever.
