These screen shots really don't do this game justice. In motion it look a lot better.

dude what are you talking about that looks amazing. The global illumination the soft edged depth of fields, kickass reflexion on his sight. Overall a incredible composition.

Very nice images, but seeing it in motion first hand is really something else. Even high quality video clips don't do the visuals justice - you need to experience it 'in the flesh', so to speak.

It's fun to go back to some of the old news articles and discussion threads from the time the original trailer was released.

People were going nuts about how graphics of this level would never be possible this gen. It was all Sony lies.

And here we all are playing it for real today.

4.1 - You should've seen the B3D developer forums.
Most of the KZ2 drama I saw took place over there. Day in and day out, programmers and graphic artists were debating whether that CG trailer was possible on PS3 hardware (or even high-end PCs for that matter). Another big topic was the animation quality.

Luckily, Guerilla designed the physics + mocap blending system.

6.2 - To really understand how amazing it looks you need to see it live
and on an HDTV...

it's really looks unreal, they really put a lot of work into this one...

Killzone 2 is like watching a CGI Movie, except you got a controller in your hand, and your the lead character... Just Amazing

The game is truly Epic..

7 - GOT A QUESTION ON KILLZONE 2!!
I'm pretty sure it's not just me but I want to ask just in case.

When you guys look side to side(medium to high speed), does it get blurry on you?

Maybe there are meant to be some motion blur or whatnot, but I'm trying to get a better sense of what everyone else sees.

I wanted to ask this same question on Uncharted as well and the likes.

Help me out.

Yes, that is the motion blur. It looks great in my opinion.
