Assassin's Creed to feature downloadable content

The US Official PlayStation Magazine has published a few new snippets of info that should be of interest. Firstly, the mag noted that the game will be released in Europe early in 2007 on the PlayStation 3 (although rumour has it that the game will also arrive on Xbox 360 at some point). The magazine also reveals that we can expect new game content delivered over the internet, and some form of multiplayer co-op play.

1 - Cool features, Xbox360's looking good!

The Xbox360 version was playable at E3, IGN reported playing it at Sony's booth on the 360 (it was sort of like an 'IN' joke at the show) :)

that wasn't a rumor, they ran a generic PS2-look-a-like USB controller into a 360, which was hidden under a sheet. then they told everyone it was the PS3 version.

As far as I can tell only one person said it was running on a 360 and/or using a 360 controller. That apparently false report then spread across the internet.

That doesn't mean it won't come to the 360, but because only one person out of hundreds of publications reported that story pretty much means it wasn't true.

Anyway, the game should be good.

Assassins was developed usinf the 360 dev kit!! Why do you think the screens looks so good? No other Sony game looks this good. The game is almost looking polished. These are most likely 360 screens but since its releasing on ps3 first they are saying ps3!! And also at E3 this game was running on the 360!!

I was just messing with you, when there is a multiplatform game, or just industry news, and an xbox fan posts comments, you always bash him saying "why are you on a PS3 site?" When it shows up as news on the 360 homepage.

I didnt know if you realized that or not, but the reason a 360 fan might be posting on a game that is for PS3, is that its coming to 360 also, and our comments are put on the same page.

So next time you bash someone for posting a comment on "your" PS3 site, remember, its not yours, and its not PS3.

here's a link, to a GAMESPOT.COM article, confirming that the E3 demo was running on a PC EMULATING THE PS3. it WAS NOT RUNNING ON A 360. A UBISOFT REP CONFIRMED IT! just because someone saw a white object under a towel by a Sony demo-booth doesn't mean that that object HAS to be a 360.

First things first, let me give you some facts. First Ubisoft has said that this game is an exclusine and only for the Playstation 3 at E3. The footage you see at the screenshots are for the PS3, if you want proof go to www.ign.com and search Assasins Creed. Thelandofsand- you are one of the people site that has no idea of what he is saying and doing u should just lay back and play your Xbox 360 and leave this site alone. all you do is put BS that you come up with on this site without fact and info. The fact is the Ubisoft did not announce this as a PS3 exclusive but only that it was in development for the PS3. When directly asked if it was coming to the 360 they dodged the question by simply stating that it was in development for the PS3. If it was an exclusive they would actually say the word "exclusive". So at this point all we know is that it is coming to the PS3. We do not know whether it is exclusive to one system or not. Now since Ubisoft does not generally do exclusives it is "likely" that it is going to come to the 360. Additionally, since is is going to the PC in addition to the PS3 and since it is very easy to transfer from the PC to the 360 and vice versa it doesn't make much economical sense not to be released on the 360. Things do seem to indicate that there is a very good chance that it is not exclusive to the PS3 and will arrive sometime on the 360.

The topic on top has rumor for the 360. So everybody is sticking to the topic. Also there was no PS3 dev kit at the E3 show. So it wasn't on no PS3 and don't give me that sh!t about the PC. IGN is a credible source. They pull the story because of the leak, not that it was a mistake. The story about it was being played on a Pc was the false part of the story. Thats like the government covering up news when it first leaked out. I think people are going to believe the first news not the cover up.

the PS3 games ran on the equivalant of what the 360 games ran on in 2005 at E3, TGS and X05. They ran on PC style dev systems. Like the g5's the 360 used before all the finalized dev systems shipped.

MS has nothing to say about Ubisoft using a devkit they bought to play a game for another console. Ubisoft is not a part of MS, they are on their own. So yes it could be true.

But even if it's not. Then it ran on a PC and not on PSZero devkit hardware. Simple because Sony can't deliver them properly. So expect these visuals maybe to be downgraded for the PSZero
