Killzone 2 media review embargo lifts early February

PSU Writes:

"For those of you anxiously awaiting media reviews for Killzone 2, set your calenders for early February.

According to our Sony PR, the review code that we were sent will be embargoed until February 2nd, putting any planned hands on, media assets, spoilers, and the review itself under strict NDA. Until that date, however, let us assure you that Killzone 2 will unequivocally be one of the highlights of the year on any platform, let alone Sony's mighty black box."

Wow, Feb 2nd will be a huge day, I'll restrict myself to only the reviews and not the other media.

EDIT : ....... I just realized that my birthday comes before Feb 27th, and I'm anticipating Killzone 2's release more....lol

Now I don't know if all media outlets will be posting on Feb 2nd. I'm sure IGN has secured some timed exclusive thing for their review or Gamespot. But in general, I think the embargo lifts on that day.

You can surely expect PSU.com's Killzone 2 review on that day. :)

I dont know how on goddamn earth a game like R2 get 8.5/10

The co-op in R2 alone is 10/10

as for KZ2 i expect perfect or near perfect scores from most sites

I mean u have to be a hater to give it anything less than 9

we have 2 reviews so far

5/5 from OPM US and 9/10 from OPM UK .

although OPM UK termed it as "BEST FPS EVER"

I think they took off 1 point to maintain credibility

anyway day 1 for me

dont give a damn to crap reviewers

Well from what I've played so far, I think we are going to give it a 6/10. It's really buggy, frame rate problems, screen-tearing, and the AI is horrible.

Also the graphics really aren't that impressive. The textures are low quality and constant pop in takes away from the experience. Overall, Killzone 2 is a really crappy game.

...Oh and we are docking it 2 points for no Co-op and no CE.

Sorry.... ;)

OPM UK ducked 1 point which was intentional i believe because of loading times

Now thats just downright lame

however lot of websites will give KZ2 9 , 9+ and 10/10

That's odd, how long has time travel existed for?
If sites give it less than a 9, it'll be cos they don't like it as much, not because they hate the game...
It's pretty obvious that most will give it 9+ but you can't say only haters will give it less lol, not everyone has to love this game

You know, it is comments like that (the one you quoted), that very briefly makes me want to see a game fail (at least in the eyes of the media)........it really is sad that people are so locked up into a review, and video games that everything is put in black and white. If MS games get good scores or PS3 games get horrible scores...the explanation is that Microsoft just paid them off....at what point did gamers become so egocentric? I am really starting to believe that people have missed it concerning the Wii, perhaps the "casual gamers" are the ones who are so stuck on a particular system that they fail to consider other alternatives, or a difference in views.

I think that most PS3 owners do not really care about 9 or down and all that nonsense. What I feel is the unfairness. You might call it bias or you might call it bullsh!t. The fact is PS3 exclusives seem to always gets reviewed slightly harsher than Wii or 360 exclusives. It might be our imagination or maybe it isn't. All I know is reviewers have the most awesome job. Not many jobs where you get paid to play games; unless of course, you're playing a horrible game :P.
