it said.. "both sides of pacific"

... they deliberatelly didn't wanna mistake ppl by saying Worldwide.. that would make ppl say "oh it's just a typo"...

but they said "both sides of pacific"... which sounds pretty sure.

either way.. we all know SE.. and should take everything with a grain of salt... even if it gets confirmed by SE themselves.. only time will tell.

1.4 - How do they plan on finishing up the originial code, then localizing it to English AND porting it to the 360 in such a span of time?
It better not be rushed like their last few projects - LR and IU, I'm looking at you.

I'm curious to see how Star Ocean 4 is. That's really the last straw for me in terms of quality and SE.

Maybe they've shifted a majority of their development resources to finally finish up the titles. I dunno. Still, I'm on a "wait and see" status with this news.

Very very unlikely for this to happen. If it does happen, say goodbye to FF13 xbox 360 sales in EU/US, they can't port the game in a few months when they are only going to start when the PS3 version is complete. And on top of that they still need to do localisation.

Anyway I don't think it is confirmed at all, it seems like RPGFan just put that bit of info at the end of their article, as speculation, not translated from Famitsu. I will only believe it if I see a full translation of the FF13 feature from Famitsu, and even then I'm still sceptical. Why? I thought FF13 was PS3 exclusive Square Enix was it not?

They have had more than enough time to work on the game, especially with the fact that they haven't put too much time into making demos for shows and such. So it could happen.

I have always said that SE has sat on this game for far too long and would need to push it out as soon as they could... in particular... by holiday 2009!

I don't care anymore. At this rate I'll be playing "Final Delay 13" in 2012 when I buy it from the bargain bin at Gamestop for my 360. Not worth buying new imo. Hell the Xbox 1440 will be out by the time this game comes out.

12 - Day and date....MS spin at its finest
If you listen carefully to the E3 MS pressconference, you will hear not one word about FF13 releasing day and date with the PS3 version. What you hear is day and date WW for the 360 VERSION ONLY.

Think about it, how can SE wait on a finished PS3 version of a game when it is clear they need to sell as many copies as possible to recoup costs. Not to mention, the backlash from loyal FF fans would be HUGE.

There is no way that localization for the US will take anywhere near as long as porting a game from scratch to the 360 that does NOT USE the UE3 engine.

Trust me on this....you can book it...lead pipe lock...

FF13 will release outside of Japan on the PS3 in the United States 1st. Then hopefully the EU will get it in mid to late 2010, and I suspect the 360 GIMPED version will release approximantly at the same time as the EU version.

MS knows this, and anyone who actually LISTEN and COMPREHENDED what MS actually said about day and date would realize the same.

Day and date WW (no mention of PS3) just day and date WW.

What could they mean by day and date WW? They mean day and date WW for the 360 VERSION.

12.2 - I commend your sharp listening skills, BUT
Don't forget the love that SE has given to MS through their exclusive rpg's, although mediocre as they are. I think MS is shelling out the money for a day and date if not timed exclusive for the 360 outside of japan. They are that dirty.

the game is probably finished. and they wont release the ps3 version in japan until they have the 360 version ready....

at this stage i wouldnt be surprised if square opted to not spend any time optimizing the game on the ps3 version.
