TVGB writes: "I hated the original Killzone on PS2. I thought it was a boring, run-of-the-mill FPS with horribly linear level design, so-so graphics and a story that couldn't hold me even if it would've cuddled afterwards. Killzone: Liberation for PSP, on the other hand, was an amazing action experience that I so desperately wanted to see super-sized to play with the big boys in HD land as Killzone 2. To say Killzone 2 had the odds stacked against it would be an understatement and nothing short of it delivering me rainbows and sunshine could make it better. Here's where I admit defeat. Also, I'm kind of a d**k.

What I'm about to say is very bold and will no doubt have some of you calling me bad names: Killzone 2 is the best looking console game ever. I say it completely without exaggeration because it's true and I love you too much to lie."

I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but all you guys out there waiting for review(s) go suck a fat one. I understand those waiting to try out a demo, rent even, but a review from someone who may not have anything positive to add to what you may experience if you just get the damn thing? I say if you played the first Killzone and/or Liberation, then you should by all means get K2. Even if you haven't played K1 or Liberation....... don't let someone else decide for you.. Besides if they have already experienced it "hence the review" Why shouldn't you.

and you need an attitude adjustment. I wait for reviews and demos (lots of them) because $60 is a lot of money to put out for a game if it sucks. I preordered KZ2, however. It's gonna pwn.

his point isn't stupid. Why would you base your opinion of a game on someone elses review more than your own??? Yeah SOME reviews do have a legitimate reason as to why the game sucks BUT imo if a review site gives a certain game a '10', that doesn't mean YOU will enjoy it just as much.

Edit: demos do help with a decision ;)

Any true PS3 Fan that doesn't buy this day one, needs a head check. This is the defining moment for the PS3. Be there to make gaming history, Killzone 2 is going to raise the bar for console shooters.

^^ I think from my point of view its safe to say i'm not waiting for anyones opinions, I am getting this game regardless. If you want real people opinions head over to neogaf or the killzone forums and check out peoples thoughts on the MP beta, that in itself is enough, let alone the hands on comments from people who have played the single player.

The best opinion you can find is your own!

Opinions are like penises! Evereyone has one, each one is diferent from the other and guys lie about it! XD

The best thing to do is buy the game! Try it for 2 or 3 days, if you like it, keep it, if you dont, sell for 10 maybe 20 euros less than it costed you. At least you tryied it yourself and have no regrets or doubts about trying it or not.

I do like to read reviews to get an idea about a game, but in the end I use my own judgment. After all, Uncharted was given average scores by some reviewers but it turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time.

I have no intention of buying/supporting anything that I dont think is of quality.

But GG have gained my upmost admiration. My time with the beta has obliterated any chance of me playing R2, Gears 2 or COD4/5 again. They simply dont match up to KZ in any way. So with all that considered, GG will get my money for anything with Killzone 2 in the title.

Yeah. The reviews aren't gonna be Halo3 good so don't expect it. Too many people writing those reviews have wanted Killzone2 to fail since E3 2005 and aren't about to admit, en masse anyway, that they were idiots regardless of how great(and believe me it IS great) the game actually is. The nitpicking will be incredible so it is up to PS3 owners to buy the game to support what GG have worked towards(and overwhelmingly pulled off)these past few years.
Ignore the inevitable barrage of"it isn't as good as it thinks it is" nonsense from "journos" trying desperately to save face by measuring KZ2 against a far tougher yardstick than any game in the industry's history. It deserves plenty of praise for how amazing the beta was and the SP will look even better. Just enjoy and when the Metacritic isn't what it should be just laugh at the petty nature of men not big enough to admit when they were wrong.
Can't wait for Feb 27 myself.

11.1 - Well I read that Guerilla Games
was going to add co-op play and even vehicles later after the game comes out. Did I miss something? Nobody seems to be mentioning that, but I read it and can't remember where. I just remember that it was announced like two or three months ago and everybody was saying "Well if they are going to put it in then why not go ahead and do it? They have three months until release." I distinctly remember this. Someone please inform me if this information has changed.

i can't think in days anymore or hours....

ah.... i just remembered i got to buy me that cross battle adaptor as well.

about the negative reviews. ya, every game gets one or two.
but i think there are limits to how much one can be in self denial.
i mean i have always said iam more of a 360 fan and i always will be.
but a good game is a good game. there can be no denying how good this game looks. gameplay is a different thing, but lets see.

A lot of people have been hating on this game true, but i think there was good reason, they set a target that simply seemed unreal and lied about it. so sure, people will attack them for it. now, it can be said they proved the skeptics wrong and they did what they said they would do. that is what will be remembered the most and for that reason it will get praised ! and deservedly so.

Um, my PS3 isn't gathering dust. It's your fault you've missed games like Uncharted, Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank, WipeoutHD, Motorstorm 1 and 2, and many other exclusives.

Don't spread your FUD because you've been letting your PS3 sit there on purpose. There's plenty of good games for the PS3, and Killzone 2 will just add to that list.

Twig is an absolute moron. Oh yeah I haven't had anything to play but Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 2, MotorStorm 2, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Valkyria Chronicles (better than ANY rpg the 360 has. actually put all of them together and this one is more fun than all of them combined), plus all of the SAME third party games that 360 has. What have YOU been playing twig besides gears of war? and shooters?

why would this game be in your Q. it should be on you pre-order list. well then again you can buy it cheaper when you get it at home. i can get new released games from gamefly for about $44. I'm considering buying CODWaW but the glitches in that game are absolutely terrible, its like the devs intentionally put them in there.
