VideoGamer: Flower Hands-On

Flower is an indie title from thatgamecompany, the developer behind the strange-yet-wonderful flOw. It's barely a videogame at all, feeling instead like a halfway house between a toy and an interactive art exhibit. The gameplay, such as it is, involves tilting the Sixaxis controller to steer a single petal as it floats on the wind.

3 - It's a niche game
Just like Eye of Judgment, which I bought together with the PS Eye. It definitely won't sell as much as MGS4 or LBP, but still, it's a relaxing game. I got my eye on this game, since I can play this game together with my children.

What the hell are you talking about? It's $10 downloadable game like PJM and Echochrome not a full disc $60 game like Fallout 3 for crying out loud.

3.2 - I am saying that it's a niche game
just like Eye of Judgment. Not that it's on Blu-ray or anything. I just happens to like niche games.

5 - This game is gonna get alot of positive attention when it comes out
Sony has really shown the potential of smaller downloadable games.

This is a perl.

This is exactly the type of innovative experience I was hoping we would get with the new gen, but haven't seen enough of. I do hope its a success for them, and if its priced right, I can't see why not!

That's what I like about Sony. They are not affraid innovation. I'm sure thay know it won't sell like crazy but still support it. Just like LBP (before it became huge), I don't think they thought it would sell a lot (as it was first intended as a DLC), but did still support it and invested in it ( so basicly risking to loose their money). They don't just go with traditional genres or games that they know will sell reasonably, but are always searching to innovate and help new developpers by giving them a shot at making a great game; and sometimes, like LBP, it pays off really well.

This is the anti-Gears game. Everyone Ive talked to says this game is simply put... Amazing. If you have not downloaded this one yet, you are doing a disservice to yourself.
