Being a Genesis fanatic, this is gonna be a day one purchase for me. =) I just hope they include online co-op for the Streets of Rage games. Also, it's gonna be interesting to see how the trophy system works with this game(s). I own a good portion of these original cartridges. =) Can't wait!

Great games list. Although Sonic CD should be in there. Since I play emulators I have access to all of those games listed even on Sega CD. People who are fans of the Genesis should pick it up.

I immediately thought of Gunstar too. Not to mention Contra": Hard Corps, Toejam & Earl, and a few others. Let's face it, though, that's a hell of a lineup they got there. Looks like an easy buy for me.

However, like i said previously, even if that list deserve the seal of almost awesomeness, a Genesis game on a 40" Full HD screen risks to be terribly wrong. I saw what Genesis games make with the 360, so if those are not "remakes to fit for HD display", i say No, thank you.

Agreed, I can barely stand some games on my 1080 24" and that is even with applied Graphics from an emulator. If they can make them look decent I might because of trophies and all but..........

In fact I just finished watching MGS 3, from another person's complete save, in the demo theater. It was nice but 480i isn't and I couldn't bring myself to slog through the jaggy blurrified beast. Oh well. Some people are just fine I guess.

If I remember correctly the 1st one was on the Sega Master System and I believe they are their own stores so I would say they are not related story wise, but don't take my word for it.

I've really been longing to play an Ecco title on a next-gen system, so I guess this will do for now. =) But c'mon Sega! Let's see a new Ecco title! Can you imagine how beautiful those water effects would look in 1080p!? =) BTW, I think the Ecco games (all of them) are absolutely brilliant.

Well the problem is a lot of us are playing all these games emulated with better graphics.

Trophies will seal the deal for the hores but I don't know. I need to see what they look like on my 1080. Games look a lot better at times through SNES/GEN emulators although I would love to use the ps3 pad. I might pick this up. Here is hoping for updated resolutions.

As far as I'm aware, they're presented in 720p with enhanced graphics.

I'm going to hazard a guess that they'll not be dissimilar to the Mega Drive/Genesis games on XBLA.

So yeah, from what I am seeing a direct comparison of emulated comix zone with numerous graphic filters compared to this actually yields surprising results. The gradations in color look more whole, like a stream, rather than sharp and defined. At least for comix zone it yield a blurrier but ultimately more satisfying picture to the skintones whatever they did for console version. I hope it is sharper than that pic on my screen and I think it will be if that is compressed at all. Not sure what IGN uses for those.

This could be a buy for me because the genesis emulator you have to pay for to use controllers properly. A one time fee but still. And trophies. That is reason to play sonic again. Count me in if the pics will be sharper.

15 - Once again a very mediocre release...

... No Revenge of Shinobi (the best Shinobi), no Sonic CD, once again the useless western Decap Attack, instead of the much better original Magical Flying Turbo Hat Adventure, and all the cool 3rd party Megadrive/Genesis games are missing (Tiny Toon Adventures, Gunstar Heroes, The Story of Thor, Chaos Engine, etc etc)

This collection is just slightly better then earlier collections for PSP and Xbox and such. Not gonna buy it AGAIN.

I'll go for a decent emulator instead.

Why they don't make a Saturn collection with Shinning the Holy Ark, Shinning Force III and all those awesome games it had? I never had a Saturn and I would like to play all those games I missed.
