PS3Life.nl reports: It looks like an word or a sentance, but we can't exactly translate it. On the back of the Killzone 2 box, there seems to be some kind of an Secret Message, but what does it tell?

Apart from the logo of Ps3Life.nl on the bottom of the box i don't see anything out of ordinary, also that thing looks like the language used on Jak and Daxter.

I agree, but at the same time we have to say that they had a lot of time.
We all know Killzone 2 is not just a game, it was Sonys(one of them) big investments in PS3 engine tech, so if they spread this engine around some other first party and it gets upgraded and what not, then we are in for an amazing ride with PS3

OMG seriously, I cant imagine the kind of games they can make with this engine. And the crazy part, is once they've finalized the engine. It doesn't have to be 4 years to make the game.

I think it's probably just some Helghan language or something. The Helghasts do speak English, but maybe it's their own native language or something, who knows.

I don't think that it's there just for decor though, I think it does actually mean something... I mean, why would Guerrilla choose to put that on the back of the box if it didn't have some sort of meaning to it?

In a way, this reminds me of the cryptic lettering on the Walls in Dead Space. In Dead Space, the lettering on the walls did actually translate into something, and I had thought that it was their just for decor to make the game a little creepier, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of secret message too.

Helghast also speak english but they do not have the same writing as humans

So yes it means something, it could be something like 'This ain't over yet' or maybe a code for the game.

So it's not decoration, hopefully someone takes the time to decode it ^^

Is it an official boxart? It looks strange, since the presentation look more like a 360 boxart than a PS3 boxart (but i may be mistaking, European boxart may be different...).

As you can see, there are several common points between each other.
The legal content is on the bottom of the box in a blank square, the price tag is on the right bottom. Up of this, the Recycle, BluRay and Area logos.

You have the Havok logo if the game is powered by Havok, but you have also the DTS / Dobly Digital logo for the sound system, which does not appear on that KZ2 boxart.

Then you have a yellow and black part with the game features.
You have: the number of players (offline), the size on the hard drive the game needs, the pad features the game uses (motion sensing, vibrations), then you have the supported resolutions (720p, 1080i, 1080p...) and the game area (PAL, NTSC, which does not appear on the KZ2 boxart), and finally the online features (rankings and number of players).

On first party games, you have a special Playstation Network part (cf MotorStorm 2, 1st column, 2nd line) with all the PSN features supported. And finally, each catch text have several paragraphs to advertise the game. But Killzone 2 does not have many text lines and they are not at all teasing.

So, can someone confirm me this is a real american PS3 boxart (which is however strange since Guerilla Games is European and GG logo is not exactly like this)? Or even better, can someone scan me an american boxart of a random PS3 game? (i'll sleep tighter tonight)

those be the native res of the game,although the 1080i has been done in some way I can't explain.

But don't worry,if your tv is 1080p it will as with all games upscale to that res.
