Game Industry Figures Looking Forward To Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Nothing PSP Specific

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has a little feature where they asked twenty two game industry figures a simple question "What are you looking forward to most on PlayStation in 2009?" David Reeves, President of SCEE, cites Heavy Rain and Killzone 2 as blockbuster titles to look forward to. Killzone 2 topped this list with seven mentions, but this number may be skewed since two of those people directly worked on Killzone 2. Heavy Rain, Resident Evil 5, and Street Fighter IV also got mentioned a handful of times."

The beta was amazing! One of the best, most impressive games I have ever seen! If they can make the controls customizable they have a winner like most of you have never seen!

Also, no way I can go back to Resistance 2. Not only does it look terrible but after my stats were deleted I could careless.

After you play KZ2, you won't even load that game up.

Killzone 2 is a system seller!

The first one was funking amazing! The graphics still have to be seen to be believed. Seriously, it was the first game for the PS3 that made me say, 'WoW!'

7.1 - I care about the Reviews......

As I already know the game will be nothing short of amazing! The beta was incredible. The full game will be the game that blasts the PS3 into 2nd place. No system is going to catch up with the Wii.

But you can't consider the Wii a true gaming machine. It is a party machine.

A FPS is what you needed to like the PS3 Crab? No wonder you love the xbox brand so much. I'm not a big FPS fan anyway, I'm more the DMC, FF type... I would go to such extend to not even care about Killzone 2, even Halo looks more appealing to me.

Somebody would say that I should have bought an X360 instead of a PS3. But the X360 doesn't lets me play blu-ray movies, my old but huge catalog from PS1/PS2 (my PS2 died), FFXIII (when it was exclusive), MGS4, DMC4 (when it was exclusive), etc.

I still buy and play a lot of PS1/PS2 games so if I have waited to buy a PS3 now I would have bought an X360 considering that the newer PS3 models don't support backwards compatibility anymore... I feel so lucky. =0

I don't know why people around here accuse me of being a fanboy. =|

Killzone 2 will be a game changer. These type of games sell and sell well. I see Killzone 2 being the Gears of war 1 for the PS3 meaning it will be "that" game that will make people buy the PS3 just to play, much like with Gears 1 for the 360 when it first came out after that, everything just got better for the 360. Killzone 2 will do that for the PS3, after Killzone 2 i think it will start a new era and you wont see as much hate for the PS3 anymore and the price cut coming soon will also seal the deal

The reason why Killzone 2 is hyped so much and wanted so much is not ONLY because of the stellar graphics and multiplayer, its because this game is a life story of the PS3 ever since 2005. I mean think about it, Sony started to get bashed by the media ever since the E3 05 Killzone 2 fiasco and thats what got the gaming world so pumped for the PS3 is killzone 2 and that footage shown. Now that it looks like the game will live up to the hype i think thats just as big, Killzone 2 is as much a symbolic victory for the PS3 as it is a gamer victor for gamers

Killzone might not change gaming the way that Mario or Zelda did, but as far as production values, its not just gonna raise the bar, but blow the roof of this thing.

After Febuary I feel sorry for any shooter thats simply adaquete. Its already hard for a shooter like Haze or Medal of Honor which are simply ok, and might have even been awesome 2 years ago.

I think KZ2 might send some devs back to the drawing board with their games the way I think MGS4 sent Ubi back with Splinter Cell and I say that as a Splinter Cell fan since day 1.

I think this is one of the most sincere and neutral threds I've seen since I've been on N4G.

Im also glad to see many people in here are multi-console owners much like myself. Although I own a Wii also because Im NOT missing out on my Mario and Zelda games... I'd be damned to even be missing out on Mad World also!

I just wish more people would put loyalty aside and just enjoy games. As all 3 have their share of extreamly enjoyable titles!
